Title: Its about damn time
Post by Georgia on Mar 14th, 2006, 1:48am
OK, so I have been a total slacker about posting some pictures of my boys. Baby Jonah is 10 months now, and Adam is 20. Years. Wowza. So...at long last...

Jonah in the Box Office having a snack. For those who may not know, Jonah goes to work with me at the Crighton Theatre Box Office (a live theatre in Conroe TX) and has since he was 3 weeks old.

How's this for amazing....Jonah is standing for a few seconds at a time now without holding on to anything!! His record is 11 seconds!! And yes, he is wearing Santa pajamas in February - long story that basically ends in Dennis feeling bad for the Santa pajamas and therefore putting them on Jonah every chance he gets.

Adam turned 20 this March and for his birthday, we decided to commemorate the special occasion by buying him a race car. Since then, he has signed a contract with Joe Gibbs Racing and will be competing for the NASCAR Nextel Cup this season. He is one bad a*@ driver. His Grandma is so proud.

This one takes a little explaining. One of Jonah's favorite games to play: We say, "Where is Blue Jonah?" and he looks through all of his toys, finds this blue tupperware lid and holds it over his face, and then of course squeals with delight as we say, "There he is! Hi, Blue Jonah!" He also plays Green Jonah and Clear Jonah - and always picks the right color tupperware.

One of his other favorite games is to put anything and everything on his head. He just thinks it is so funny (and of course, so do we). He also LOVES reading books. He points at the pictures, "reads" them aloud all by himself, and just shrieks with joy.

I know the book in this one is blurry - but his face is just so gorgeous, I had to include it.

Another beautiful boy picture.

Yeah, yeah - so its blurry - but he is kissing his baby doll! How cute is THAT?

Jonah has stopped eating baby food and will only eat whatever he can feed himself - pieces of fruit, veggies, cheese, cereal, etc. Well one day while minding his own business and eating his little finger foods, Daddy walked by with a back scratcher. Upon seeing this giant red thing, Jonah just HAD to have it. He then proceeded to attempt to feed himself some Cheerios with it. I don't know why this tickles me so, but it really does! It makes me laugh every time I look at it. I need to get out more.
"I don't wanna know where this thing has been"

And he manages to get it to his mouth. Oh that look of satisfaction!

Another attempt at feeding himself, this time with yogurt.

At the arcade/pizza/go-kart place where we took Adam to celebrate his birthday, there was also a kiddie room. Jonah had so much fun crawling into, over, and under everything he could.

Same place - Jonah's first horse ride.

And finally - a great big hug from Jonah to you!

Hope you enjoyed!

How cute!  Jonah looks like the picture of happiness.  And Adam is looking as handsome as ever. :)  Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures Georgia.  You can also tell motherhood has softened you a bit. (wait till Jonah is almost 3, LOL)

love,
mel

P.S. You ever see "Moonlight Over Escanaba"?  After seeing Den, you just HAVE to see it, LOL. ;)

OMG! Thanks for the pics! Jonah is adorable and Adam is as handsome as ever. (did you get Jonah's wig from Den's beard?)
If he can pick out colors already...well that's one smart baby!
Thanks Georgia. Give both the boys hugs from me, OK?

Great pic, Georgia.  I love seeing the baby pics on here.  Thanks for sharing them.

Nani, if you look closely you can see that Jonah's wig IS Dennis' beard.  LOL

well, Georgia, as I told you yesterday - he truly is a beautiful boy. :)  I love babies' smiles - they start in the eyes, don't they?  You and Den must be doing a lot of things right because he sure does look like a happy lil dude!  Good on ya!

Oh and hey - how's the slushie production coming?  Remember, it's in the name of science and for the greater good.  A preventative is a preventative, no matter the source.  I still do need pictures of the revelation though - don't forget, ok?

;;D

I promise not to decode it for the rest ;)

Don't call me a dumbass, woman - of course you KNOW I'm talking about Jonah here.  Contrary to your wishes, you know you can NOT nurse that child until he goes to college and you WILL have to offer him a preventative considering the genetics he's dealing with here.  Sheesh!

As to ned, a precisely-timed (and well aimed) squirt, thrice monthly will do the trick.  Man, do I have to teach you EVERYTHING, child?

;;D

(seriously though - I checked.  Jonah doesn't have cluster eyes.  I think the double negative growler vortex that happened when you and Den got together just kind of blew the universe's mind and negated the heredity factor.  It's all good.  :))
