It has been 141 days here in Arizona without rain. Today about 1/2 hour ago it sprinkled for about two mins. I MEAN SPRINKLED! We did get some snow in the high country but where we are supposed to have over 50 inches of snow pack we have 5. This means that we are going to have a terrible fire season. I have been here for 20 years and it has never been this bad I have never seen cacti look so water depleted.

I hear ya man, I read AZCentral everyday, looks like you folks are in for a bad summer of fire. Its pretty bad every year, but this could be beyound that.

Just keep the firemen away from the sheep......LOL ;;D

I know we are joking here, but this could be a major disaster for your area and places all over your state.

141 days with no rain in the desert is the making for some bad shit coming into the hot season.

I think I read a few months ago that you folks got a few more air tankers, thats great but probably not enough if it got real bad..........I got room for ya bro, run for Boston if the heat gets bad!!

Jonny,

You are not kidding! My in-laws-live up in the high country and a few years ago one of thier major cities was almost lost to fire. They had fire fighters from several surrounding states set up along the end of the town fighting it back. Fortunately a wind change and some good rain helped move it away. I dont want a repeat of that or what it was like when I was in Alaska last summer. i was in a town that was getting all the smoke blown into it from local fires you could not see 100 through the smoke and if we had to bail out the only way out of the place was by plane and they were grounded because of the fires.
