Damn imnotbub! you must've led a real sheltered life, I'm the same age as you and I remember a whole damned lot of that!

How many of you remember going to the store with a quarter, and coming out with a coke, a candy bar, and a bag of chips?

And like some of the rest of you - I remember most of them - some are specific to the USA and were things we didn't have in Canada - like Lucky Strike cigarettes.

I remember listenin to the Shadow on an old radio at my gramas in Kentucky on vacation......course I was wrapped in a baby blanket suckin my thumb waitin on my bottle to warm up Pam

The radio talk type movies or whatever they were called sure did make you use yer imagination.....I loved it.....da-da-goo-goo

The last two are Greek to Jamestown kids.

I love the Statler Brothers. I didn't live all of it, but I remember enough to get that nostalgic, walk down memory lane kind of feeling. It's good to look back once in a while.

I'm related somehow to the Statler brothers. My Grnadma's maiden name is Stutler. That is what it was changed to. I still can't listen to country music for very long although I think Elvira is a kind of fun song.

I remember most, but not 'first hand'. C'mon, poodle skirts? My mother wore one of those before I was born. Lucky green? Dad smoked Luckys and I never saw a green pack. Before my time. (Young and spry at 48 )

Okay, here's the deal on *frogging* somebody. If you were the *giver*, you'd make a fist and make sure that the knuckle from your *bird* finger was raised above the rest of the fingers. Then you would catch your unsuspecting victim and pop them in the arm or leg with that knuckle. It would cause the muscle to *jump/spasm*, not to mention hurt like the dickens.

yup, remember them quite well, they were right up there with candy cigarettes.

Frog in your arm is when someone holds out the middle knuckle of one of their fingers and hits you really hard on your upper arm. It makes the muscle lump up in the spot for a minuter or two.

The kids who grew up in th 80s used to call frogs "hurtz donuts". As in "Hey wanna hurtz donut?" "Sure!" (frog in the arm) "Here...hurts, don' it?"

Since I am 104 yrs. old (by my profile) I remember all of these. ;;D

But lets face it......Moon hubcaps, fender skirts on cars are still around. I see them everyday.

"Asking Daddy for the keys" to the car is a generational constant.

"Cooties in your hair" has been replaced by Pam's nickname.

"Pedal pushers" are "IN" again and they're just as ugly now as they were then.

Cracker Jacks, Pepsi & Ovaltine can be found on any grocery shelf.

12th graders still have "senior Proms"

Summer time always finds kids having "lemonade stands"

and tonsils are still being removed from throats, although not as often as then.

There is nothing under the sun. Just different wording, packaging and advertising.
