Title: Another meet and greet in Atlanta.... Post by BarbaraD on Mar 4th, 2006, 11:38pm [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] Gee people are beginning to talk. [smiley=laugh.gif] Matt made a "surprise" trip to Texas this weekend and we had lunch in Atlanta this afternoon with his dad. Unfortunately Mary had to work and didn't come with him so it was just dad, Matt and me, but it was great to see him again. We had sandwiches at Sammy's Fine Food Establishment (gee I'm finding more eating places in Atlanta than I ever knew were in Atlanta). Anyhow it was a fast lunch and all "talk" (can you imagine clusterheads talking .....). He has to go back to KS tomorrow, but will be back to help with the barn raising soon.... (Yep I'm roping in volunteers for that one -- may have it raised by the end of this century at the rate we're going now!) After lunch I returned to the farm to see how things were progressing. Seems my son had set a "small" fire to burn some brush -- that soon became two large fires (he should have Noticed the WIND was blowing, but that didn't occur to him till AFTER he set the first fire). well actually he SHOULD have waited until we got the electricity hooked up and the well pump on, but hindsight is great isn't it. It was an exciting and smokefilled afternoon. Hopefully all the fires are out - I'm going to take a long shower now and hopefully I won't smell like a barbeque pit after that. I did find out SMOKE is NOT good for cluster headaches.... BTW my son is still among the living -- too many witnesses today... but I'll get him later...... Hugs BD |
