I don't have a lot of time to write, so this will be short. Jennifer woke up Wednesday night vomiting like crazy, so we went right to the hospital. I guess it was only the flu, but it made a bad situation much worse. The cervix is now almost completely open, with only a tiny membrane keeping the babies from seeing this world too soon. They are only at 18 weeks, 5 days. Now, Jennifer is going to be confined to the hospital until we either have babies or we don't have babies anymore. Plus, she is positioned upside down so gravity can help convince the tissues to migrate back into the correct position. She can't get up for anything, and there isn't even any Internet access (we'll see about that!).

So, obviously when I asked for vibes a couple days ago, I wasn't sounding panicked enough... now I'm panicked. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We can't imagine losing these two after everything it took to get this far. We need Jennifer to stay calm and relaxed, and for the babies to stay put!

I'll post updates when I can.

Father, your word says you knew us before we were conceived. You know every hair on these babies heads, you know their spirits. You gave them to Shawn and Jennifer, this beautiful blessing and for this we thank you.

We ask that Jennifer and Shawn are wrapped in your peace and comfort and for your protection for the babies until they are strong enough to be born. We ask that you bless the doctors' hands, give them wisdom to treat Jennifer and the babies by your design and your plan as they look forward with joy and anticipation, and not fear or doubt.

We thank you for your lovely blessing to them. We thank you for loving them and protecting them during this time. We stand in agreement with your word that where two or more are gathered in your name, there you are in their midst. So I ask my brothers and sisters here to "gather with me" in agreement that God will be with Shawn, Jen and the babies, and those who share in anticipating this birth with them will all be able to praise Him for his love and blessings to Shawn and Jennifer.

Shawn and Jennifer you and the babies are in my prayers.I hope you can look at this someday with your sons and remind them how much they were wanted and how impatient they were.Blessings to you both and may she get internet access.If you do maybe we can take turns chatting with her and keeping her busy.I'm sure we can all take some time to try to keep her mind busy.If this is something you may want let me know and we'll try to get a schedule.Love to you all.

Shawn and Jennifer, the vibes, prayers and candles lit around this place have been known to work miracles in the past.

To the twins:

Babies, stay where you are. Your parents want you so much and you will be loved and protected and cared for forever, so hold onto that and that warm comfy home you have right now.

Cerclage isn't an option until she stops having contractions, and after 19 weeks, is pretty rare. We are on the edge with it. The doc will decide next week. Right now, he can't be poking at the cervix with anything at all.

Thank you all for the good thoughts and vibes. This is going to be a long ride at the hospital. Laying on a bed with your feet 2ft higher than your head for 24/7... what a nightmare. She is miserabe. No Internet either. Not fun.

I'm sleeping there again tonight, so I'll check in tomorrow with everybody.

All the biggest vibes and prayers I can muster!!! I'm so sorry to hear this has happened... Tell those twins to follow Bob's advice and go to the womb until you tell them to come out!....

Shawn, Whenever I've been in the hospital, I connect to the internet via dialup through the phone line. I have juno internet now, but before I've used temporary AOL and been able to dial up. It has racked up some high phone bills, but it keeps me sane. Now the hospital has internet on a lot of the floors, but it's kind of a pain (have to use it through the tv) so I still tend to use my laptop a lot! Just an idea...

Hugs to both of you and many prayers that this works out okay!

Things seemed to be going well, but then the contractions came back... this is nerve wracking. The good news is the doctor says he has seen successful endings to situations like this, so our hopes are up. Will update later.
