Yup, they stink. But I have been a rabid fan since 1966 and have been season tix holder since 1990.

On the reverse side of Chewy's post, I pull for the Yanks and whoever plays the Bo-Sox!  Anyway, since we got this "new" centerfielder ;;D, who has taken over that spot up there in "Beantown"?
And oh yes!  I agree that baseball season is the best throughout the year.  I can watch a game just about anytime I want.  I will watch any game, even the RedSox.  I have even begun to route for the Cubs as well b/c my bro lives in Chicago and I usually get to Wrigley once or twice a year.  I've been to a few stadiums and anytime I go to a new place, I try to find a pro stadium close by.  Have been to Fenway, really cool, but I still haven't made it to Cooperstown ( along-time, from childhood dream).  LYG.

P.S.  I play softball in a local league and started on a new team last season.  They won the championship the year before but we cane up short last year.  Ironically, the name of the team is the RedSox.  I told them we didn't get the trophy 'cause it's bad luck for such a diehard Yanks fan to wear anything with RedSox on it. [smiley=laugh.gif].  This years uni's are pretty nice though, they are almost exact replicas of their home uni's.

HAte to say it but I would give the Mets the best shot at it right now.  I will probably take some heat for this but $crew thw World BaseBall Classic.  We dont need it.  What if A Rod or Alex Pujols get hurt for what?  So MLB can have a few more international fans?   Yeah I bet the money is just pouring in from Italy!!!  Gimme a break!

Why do Yankee fans bring up all theri bought rings?  Do Yankee fans realize that the Red Sox are 3rd in MLB history in # of World Series victories..... yes, the Yanks have the most.

Any yank fan up for a non-moneetary wager?

I bet Crisp has a better 4 years than Damon.

Also, if the Yanks can get Pavano and Wright healthy, I bet the Red Sox will win the division this season.

Finally, do Yankee fans also know that the Yanks hold the record for most times up 3-0 and LOSING a series?

Sorry for being a bit spunky today.... I have been sick for 2 days and it is mid=70s outside.

How about  if someones CLAIMED AHEAD of time team wins who ever doesnt win has to post a pick wearing something from the winning team or a them holding up a favorable sign of the winning team??  In 2001 I bet a guy on the series and he had to drive around for a month with a Dbacks novelty License plate on.

I am still PISSED about Randy Johnson.  If they would have told him they were gonna atleast TRY to be competitive he would have stayed.   He will be fun to watch this year.

I best friend in the world is a Sox fan.  I was glad to see it happen but I dont think that it will again.  They will play tough but staying as healthy as they were last year at that time will be a challenge.  Besides they had a once in a lifetime kinda year.  They just had TOO much fun.  They always looked like they were playing in the sandlot.  It was cool to watch.  GO DIAMOND BACKS!!!!!

Ive been in this cluster since befroe Thanksgiving, but I have a stomach bug for 2 days now.

I wont buy any Yankee stuff, but if the Yanks win the World Series, I will post a picture of me with a sign that is positive about the Yankees.....  and I mean actually positive, not "The Yankees are all Positive for steroids"

In 2004 I told some friends I would buy a fitted cap of any team that knocked the Yanks out of the playoffs...... lucky for me it meant a new Sox fitted cap.

(Interesting side note: My first cluster ended on the day of game 4 of the 2004 WS when I was at Busch Stadium.)

Bet's on for me too, once I get this whole posting pictures thing figured out.  Believe it or not I have a ten year old RedSox hat that has never been worn b/c as I said, I try to make it to every stadium I can (have actually been to Fenway to see them play the Angels and the Mets.)  And my softball team has new jerseys this year.  So if the Bo-Sox win I'll dawn the dreaded enemy colors for all to see!  8) ;)

Cards fans are my 2nd favorite fans in all the league.  I have been to Busch a bunch of times and they are always great.  The ovation they gave Polanco on his first AB in a phillie uni was awesome.

However, they blew me away with their passion yet class at the World Series game 4.  My friend (and a bunch like them) left their seats to allow Sox fans to celebrate winning the series without getting in their faces.

I root for the Cards (except when they play the Sox) because of that, and oh yeah, my wife is a Cards fan.

Let's have a rematch of the 2004 World Series!!!!!!!!!

Have to agree about Cards fans.  Been to Busch twice, both times they were playing the Cubs.  It's amazing that even as the Cubs know they don't have a chance to beat them, it still gets pretty heated in there when they're playing each other.  Rivalries like that are one of the greatest things about this sport.  Saying that, yes I do hate the RedSox, but, I am a sports freak and I do acknowledge and appreciate the fact that they've got a good team with alot of talent.  I too was happy to see the Chi-Sox win last year and since the Yanks weren't in it, I was glad to have two teams that noone expected, so I could watch and apprecaite the game.  It also saved my voice, saved my TV & remote control and saved me money since I wasn't throwing and breaking things every time I got frustrated.
Should be an interesting season!  Bring it on! 8) ;;D 8) ;;D
