Title: The generic term will be..................
Post by Sean_C on Feb 28th, 2006, 7:07pm
In pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and a generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol has a generic name of acetaminophen. Aleve is also called naproxen. Amoxil is also called amoxicillin and Advil is also called ibuprofen.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadud, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix and, of course, Ibepokin.

Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra w ill soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one.

Obviously, we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails, "highballs," and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink." Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of "MOUNT & DO”.

;;D

I vote for Ibepokin, but  mydixarizin is a good name.  How about poknriz - no that won't work, has to be riznpok - first things first

Thats not always the case.  There are several drugs out there that are the same drug just have a different Trade name.  I love it when a patient tells me that they are allergic to one Trade name but not the other.  In my case it is usually with liquid breathing meds so there are not FILLERS unlike pills so someone could be allergic to one of the fillers in the pill.

More usless information I have a wealth of this stuff.
