Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by tanner on Feb 27th, 2006, 11:07am Interesting mix! My black lab "clue" was a misguided Xmas gift from my wife. she figured that having a pal would help with my depresion. well several hundred dollars later and having replaced all of the throw rugs in the house, and having bought new sock ,shoes and underwear to replace the ones the dog took a liking to, I am finding that we really are bonding! especially when I am walking around the yard with a walmart bag on one hand picking up poop to drop into the target bag in my other hand! ghost i am just messin with ya although everything i said is true. at least yours wont double in size ever couple weeks and get so strong that he decides where his indoor kennel will be and if the couch is in the way .......well tough ;;D i do hope your choice of names wont prove to be prophetic... can't wait to see the pics...hope you are havin a great one tim |

Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by nani on Feb 27th, 2006, 11:09am Oh...that is a bad thing. My husband and oldest boy once got me a puppy. Without asking me first. At a time when taking care of another thing was just too much to even consider. I was sooo pissed. But, the pup was cute...so of course, I kept it. And he turned out to be one of the best dogs I ever had. Totally devoted to me. I miss him still. :'( Need pics. :) |

Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by chewy on Feb 27th, 2006, 11:36am I got Mom and Dad a puppy for their anniversary about 10 years ago. He immediate chewed up all of the verticle blinds in the house. I stayed away from Mom and Dad for weeks. Mom and Dad have passed and "Maggie" has lived with my sis and her kids for the last 5 or so years. Life wouldn't be the same without "Maggie" in the family. Quote:
Is he humping the furniture? |

Post by cootie on Feb 27th, 2006, 12:33pm Oh so in a way you kinda bought yerself that puppy ech....good excuse to get one and get to keep it handin it over as a speical wife gift. Bet that's a cute mix......it will be non stop with no fear and alot of ankle biteing and barking at strangers and goin after bigger dogs. I raise some chihuahua's myself here. But in Ohio it is illegal to let puppies go before 8 weeks old. I have a litter of 4 chihuahua's rite now a month old. No fear taco bell's Pam |

Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by Ghost on Feb 27th, 2006, 12:49pm He knows he is Mommies 1st thing he did was lay on her chest and fell asleep.then crawled to her shoulder and back to sleep. her cat is ticked though he is hissing and blowing and plotting you can tell. he stands in bed room looking around the corner and in his eyes you can tell he is plotting a way to dispose of the little intruder. ;;D ;;D ;;D [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by zwibbs/Scott on Mar 21st, 2006, 1:46pm With the mix that Chooie is --dog is going to have alot of energy. Jacks need alot of walking or else they'll rip your house apart. Watch the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel. Guy's name is Ceasar Milan and he is actually great on getting dogs to correct bad behavior. Remember be calm and assertive !!! |

Title: Re: I did a bad thing! Post by BarbaraD on Mar 22nd, 2006, 6:36am Puppies are always a welcome addition. Our little Homer (now about 50 pounds) has taken over the homeplace and runs it to suit himself. For a stray dog who was dumped in a dumpster in Florida he's pretty well come out ahead of the game I'd say. He gets up all during the night to lick my ear just to tell me he loves me. Enjoy the puppy... you'll wonder what you ever did without him.. Hugs BD |
