first to hear about it, have to admit- it makes me sad, I loved Barney, the Andy Griffiths with him are one of the few shows I can watch over and over again and still laugh. From what I have heard he was a great guy in person as well. thanks Barn.

I was not old enough to remember his Andy Griffith roll (even though I enjoy the reruns), but I sure do remember him as Mr. Furly(sp?) on Three's Company.

An awesome actor he was. Godspeed...

Man I loved that show he was on 'Andy of Mayberry' or what ever it was called. It was the happy fun life is ok show to watch just like the Flinestones at dinner time, Life was good shows Pam

Sean Mr. Limpit (sp) Don was the voice of the fish.
I loved that show. I grew up watching the man. He was one of a kind.

You may not believe this, (and why not?), but I saw his first appearance (I think) on the old Steve Allen Show.

Don had a skit with Tom Postom and Louie Nye. They were some team......kinda like Tim Conway and his gang. Just kept you laughing the whole time.
