Title: Blessings Post by Dragnlance on Feb 25th, 2006, 12:41am As Tanner just reminded me, we often have little bits of happiness that we tend to overlook when dealing with as much pain and crap as clusterheads do. With that said, I would like to start a thread dedicated to our little blessings and things that make us happy. My wife of nearly 22 years, who can always bring a smile to my face, just by being her. Her understanding and compassion for my pain. My two springer spaniels, who also bring happiness because of the joy in their spirits. There are many more, but I want to have everyone share theirs. :D |

Title: Re: Blessings Post by DennyM on Feb 25th, 2006, 1:18am Thankyou Lance! Brian & I live beside a swamp and at this time of the year, (Wet Season) it's a veritable mosquito factory and not a very nice place to be. However, there is a bird which sometimes graces our waking moments with the sweetest, most melodious call we've ever heard. We've never set eyes on the bird, but Brian's betting on Mangrove Robin. Anyway - no matter what brand of shit the rest of the day might fling our way - no-one can take away the joy of that birdsong. And yes - we count it as a blessing! I hope this thread will shower us all with numerous blessings. Come on, people! Time to share a few positives!!!! |

Title: Re: Blessings Post by FramCire on Feb 25th, 2006, 9:45am My Wife. My kids. My CH (simply because I have it and not my wife or kids). This place. My church. My family (both mine and my wife's). My annoying but lovable cat. We have had a few friends we know go through major problems with their children and so I seriously consider my CH a blessing because I will take it over the problems these friends are having. May sound silly, but I couldn't take either of my kids going through what these kids have. |

Title: Re: Blessings Post by burnt-toast on Feb 25th, 2006, 10:19am First and foremost my family because they give me endless reasons to keep going. Without them I really don't know that I could survive this nightmare. Secondly my Border Collie - Roxy, she's mastered the art of loyalty and affection and is probably the only creature alive that doesn't care about any of my faults and will follow me anywhere. My stretch of woods. Nothing better than having a place to go where there's always something to discover and try to understand or just spend time in peaceful reflection. This board - it connects me to folks who truely understand this nightmare and provides opportunity to support and be supported. Tom |

Title: Re: Blessings Post by bella_lunatic on Feb 26th, 2006, 1:32am My blessings...My wonderful husband, who tries to be supportive, but I don't think I let him know that I appreciate that at least he tries most of the time. Our 3 beautiful children, who pay the biggest price for these HAs. My dogs Emma, Knightley and Max, who keep me company in the middle of the night when I am afraid of going to bed. They are the only reason I have gotten through all of this. And of course this board and all of its members. Such a wonderful thing to know that I am not alone. ~Bella |
