Title: Some people have no courtesy Post by Dragnlance on Feb 22nd, 2006, 10:28pm I am really peeved. This friend of ours came by this weekend. She knows about my CH, even if she has no clue about what it really is. She does know that I miss a lot of life because of them. Anyway she comes by, sicker than a dog, and tells me she does not know if she is infectious or not. She comes here anyway!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I can tell you she was very infectious, as I am now very sick and fighting a high cycle too!!! Goddamn!!!!! I have refused to have company over because I am now sick, because I dont want them sick too. This is what I call "common courtesy". I just cannot believe someone who claims to be a friend can be so uncaring to do this!!! Thanks for letting me bitch. Lance |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by Cathi04 on Feb 22nd, 2006, 11:35pm Lance, even us 'civilians" are aware!! This virus that is going around is nasty...and SOMEONE who should've stayed home from work while sick has reinfected all of my office....... I can only imagine a cough or a sneeze while dancing. Feel better real soon, Lance...... Cathi :-/ |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by Dragnlance on Feb 22nd, 2006, 11:47pm do you know how much it hurts to be in battle with the monster AND trying to cough your lungs out??? I want to kill someone for doing this to me |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by LeLimey on Feb 23rd, 2006, 12:28am Tell her Lance, but not til you've calmed down! some people are too pigging thick to realise. I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago when my little boy caught german measles froma kid at school whose mother wouldn't take the day off to look after him. Jasper is 4 and he is in cycle too. If swear words could kill she would be as dead as a dodo I'm telling you! I haven't calmed down enough to speak to her yet but I shall. I have made very rude comments to the school about accepting him ill though! |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by zwibbs/Scott on Feb 23rd, 2006, 12:50am Lance---I couldn't agree with you more. We had friends come over with a sick child. First my daughter got it, NOW I have it and I have one of the most important days in recent memory--TODAY. My cycle ended in late December, but my nose is constantly running , to the point where it is freakin raw---slight fever, cough like a gorilla, eyes burning, head sensitive. I am on a steady diet of Tylenol/mucinex, and dimeatapp. Here's hoping things get better real fast. |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by Dragnlance on Feb 23rd, 2006, 1:24am Sorry to hear you got sick too. Why can't people think what their actions will do?? Me, I hurt, and when I cough, I go from kip 7 to kip 10 on every single cough. God that is miserable! Somebody shoot me |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by sandie99 on Feb 23rd, 2006, 3:31am Lance, I'm so sorry.... [smiley=hug.gif] I'm sick as well... :( I had a group meeting and one member had flu. Naturally, I got it now, too. So that's why I'm not going to another group's meething this afternoon, so that they won't be sick tomorrow. I just hate the flu... I sneeze my nose off, my throat hurts like hell... can't eat a thing... and then there's fever. Hate it! :( Back in my ch days, for some reason, the beast took off the worst flu week, but came back on the next. My flu lasts usually 3-5 weeks, first being the worst and the rest, well, just sneezing. Best wishes & healthy, PF days to everyone, Sanna |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by imnotbub on Feb 23rd, 2006, 10:20am I used to think the same way. Hey, you're sick, stay home. Unfortunately some employers don't want to here it. In Atlantic City, the casinos give you 6 sick days a year, but write you up if you use them. Crazy. |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by cootie on Feb 23rd, 2006, 12:45pm Did any of you guys get a flu shot ? I was jus wonderin if all that crap is cover'd in that shot cuz I got one this year. I ended up with pnemonia from a real bad flu one year then got it again within a years time but wasn't 'as bad' if you can ever say pnemonia has a "not as bad" side to it. I sure don't want that shit and seems everyone around here is gettin sick rite about now. But seems sum never get it. Not coughin or gaggin yet Pam |

Title: Re: Some people have no courtesy Post by Dragnlance on Feb 24th, 2006, 6:26pm I quit getting flu shots because they always make me sick. Quote:
I dont know if this why I dont remember a hell week like this or not, but at no time do I remember having the monster active in my head AND having the flu at the same time. I thought I knew what a hell week was (just fighting CH) My def changed this week. Coughing and hacking your lungs out and fighting the monster is as miserable a time as I can remember. On those days I had a fever too.. OMG!!!!!!!!! |

At the hospital, I get 12 sick days a year but same deal as far as being written up for using them. WTF is that all about??? I've used mine and then some...this week I missed 3 days without pay and one day where I could use sick time. If my boss says even ONE word to me about the time I missed, then I'm going to tell her she should have let me alter my schedule when I asked....then I wouldn't have ended up quite so damn strung out and so susceptible!! I HATE that they make you very stressed out when y ou're already sick and stressed enough!!! grrr.... I'd been battling horrible vomiting last week and now still not feeling well. The beast backed off during the worst of the vomiting, but has been back with a vengence since and it does totally suck to be sick with even less energy and having the beast slam ya too... Get well hugs through the internet since I'm sure as hell not hugging ya in person right now! ;) Carrie :) |

WTF is that all about??? Liz, I have a freind, she has been a RN for twenty years. She now works on contract basis only, no benifits, but she knocks down $60-70,000 a year, she also might live in four or five places a year. If she get's sick of pisses someone off she just goe's on down the road. I'v never seen her off work more than two weeks. She works transportation home weekly into the deal, her husband builds boat docks and is never home during the week. There is a group of nurses that work the same way and they get group insurance rates. |
