Title: guys.... Post by Linda_Howell on Feb 14th, 2006, 6:24pm Forget Hallmark. Forget any Chocolate manufacturer. Forget roses. Forget De Beers and their stupid diamonds. Go home and give your partner a sincere kiss and a hug and tell her you love her more than anything in the world. Linda |

Title: Re: guys.... Post by JenniferD on Feb 14th, 2006, 6:39pm Nope, nope, nope! Guys, pay attention to Linda. When he comes home, and he wraps those incredible arms around me, looks me deep into my eyes and tells me how much he loves me........nothing, and I mean NOTHING can compare. Roses smell like funerals then die, can't touch the chocolate, already got the bling, all I really really want is to KNOW that I am the only one who has his heart, and has it completely. Cuz he has mine. 'course I am a hopeless romantic, but been burned bad enough to know there are more important things than "things". Hugs to all. Good call, Linda! Jen |

Title: Re: guys.... Post by alienspacebabe on Feb 14th, 2006, 9:00pm Linda's right. Never forget to tell her you love her. Us wimmins need to hear it, lest we think you don't anymore. Romance is in the mind, not the pocketbook. An expensive gift, bought with no thought, means little. |

Linda, Once again men have received great advise that highlights a simple way for men to maintain a strong relationship with our significant others. Rest assured - most of us will still get it wrong. Afterall we're men, and we think all women are too complex for these simple gestures. ;) |

Wife: "I haven't gotten you a card for Valentines Day yet" Me: Ahhh....that's ok. I haven't gotten one for you either, yet" Wife: "Let's skip it and save the 10 bucks. LMAO A couple years ago one of the guys I work with was delived some flowers at work. No card. No way to trace it back. Hmmmmm......do you tell the wife? We used to have a guy at work with a wife that would call 4 or 6 times a day. Irritated the hell outa me. The calls all come to my desk and I'd have to hunt the hen-pecked husband down. One day it was "Hello" "Is Jim available?" I recognized her voice and said "Jim who?" "Jim Mac" "He's not here right now" "May I leave a message for him to call me?" "I think you just did" "Thank you" "By the way, is this his wife?" She didn't call back again. |
