Title: The tension HA from hell... Post by nani on Feb 9th, 2006, 2:21pm Yes, I'm actually whining about a tension HA. Don't get me wrong, it could be a CH...Crying triggered a 5 minute hit earlier. I just came from a funeral. For a 7 week old baby boy. The baby had been struggling from birth and already had 4 surgeries. He was his parent's first baby. The Mommy was mooshie's teacher earlier this year, so mooshie went too. She asked me "Why?" I had to say "I really don't know." Because, I really don't. :'( |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by Margi on Feb 9th, 2006, 3:19pm aw, Nani, that is tragic. Ours is not to know why, though - THAT's the rub here. For whatever reason, that little angel had already fulfilled his purpose here. Rejoice that he now has wings and that he has found peace in the place he needs to be. Pour yourself a hot bath and soothe that tension away. It really does help. So sorry. :'( |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by JenniferD on Feb 9th, 2006, 4:34pm Nani, I'm so sorry you are dealing with not only the loss of the little one, the stress of being a parent and having to try to explain the loss, but also the tension that stress brings with it. A nice hot shower or bath may help that HA, and a good glass of wine and soft music to calm you. sending you peace vibes, Jen |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by Sandy_C on Feb 9th, 2006, 4:44pm I'm so sorry that Mooshie had to experience this. But she is lucky to have you there to console her, even if you can't explain why things like this happen. I know it's hard on you, but take comfort in knowing that you are there for Mooshie. As others said, lock yourself in the bathroom in a tub filled with hot water and bubble bath. Turn on your favorite music, take a good book, and just soak for at least 1 hour (personally, it takes me 2 hours). It won't make the hurt go away, but it will help the stress level. Love ya Sandy |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by Lizzie2 on Feb 9th, 2006, 5:14pm [[[[[Nani]]]]]]} So very sorry to hear this... :'( The first time I went to a funeral for a child was for my skating coach's 10 year old daughter on December 14, 2003...she'd died tragically from carbon monoxide poisoning. I can't remember crying so much in my life... There is nothing so very sad as the funeral of a child whose life was cut too short.... But I know you've told me to take comfort that my little ones find peace even though they've suffered so much. Take comfort from that same thing. It's never easy....not ever...no matter how much we know they're suffering, it's very hard to let them go... I'm so sorry for your friend and for what you and mooshie have gone through with this. My love to you and my shoulder to cry on, if you need to! Love, Carrie :) |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Feb 9th, 2006, 5:50pm Sending big hugs to Mooshie and to you! It's so hard to explain "life" to kids, isn't it? Hope by now your headache has settled down to something less than a dull roar. Carol |

Title: Re: The tension HA from hell... Post by nani on Feb 9th, 2006, 7:03pm Thanks, all. :-* I did take 800 mgs of Advil and it helped the tension HA. I also got hit with a CH again. :-/ But... I'll be OK. At least all my kids are still here. My heart is still bleeding for the parents. You know, my faith is strong and I know all the right answers....they just rang hollow to me today. Mooshie and I will talk more in the coming days, and we'll get through it. There is a long bubblebath planned for this evening, and I'll be saying a few extra prayers. I'll include an extra one for my family here. Thank you. hugs and love, nani |
