The Kid...I.E. Jeff Gordon

Maybe even my man Mark Martin.....Wishful thinking, I think.

Tony Stewart......definitely up front somewhere....

Greg Biffle?

Carl Edwards?

Who do you think it could be??

I know it L-E-E.... :'(....That's why I said "wishful thinking") I just hope he has a good year, I've been a Mark Martin fan forever.

When Mr. September retired (Harry Gant, for those new to NASCAR) I was so sad to see him leave, and now I'm loosing my man Mark!

Ya know, I think Harry was the last "shine runner" left when he retired. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess I'll have to be a Gordon fan..WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER!!!!!!!!

Pat, ya might have something there, Michael does qualify good there.

Since Rusty is gone, I'll have to pull for a new driver for now on and that will be Michael Waltrip. Will also pick him for the Daytona Pole and win. Expecting a good year out of him, just needs to stay out of all those wrecks he got caught up in last year.

Say Mikey: I met Harry Gant in Pheonix some years back, he was cool and talked with me for a bit like just a regular guy. (Also at that race I got my picture taken in Bobby Hamilton's car ... then he went on to win his first ever NASCAR race that day ... pretty good day) 8)

NASCAR has moved on to a new generation of drivers, I'd have to say I'm going to miss the old breed. Think we're starting to see more reckless drivers than very skilled drivers ( uh ... ahem ... Tony Stewart!) ... just one of the a$$es the sport doesn't need.
Start them engines ... we're ready!

Hey Dave, i also had the privilege of meeting Harry when I was a young boy at his place in taylorsville NC (I only live about 30 mins from there) and it supprised me at how friendly he was, and he won me over right away!! I was a fan from then on.....He was my favorite driver until he retired, now I think he spends a lot of his time running his restaurant there in Taylorsville. Later He wrote a Biography intitled "The life and times of Harry Gant" I got a signed copy of one from Harry the christmas after he wrote it. I wrote a letter to Him almost begging for one!!

Dave, I also was able to talk to Michael Waltrip on the phone on a radio show (John boy and Billy--"The Big Show") here in Charlotte area just before he got married to Buffy, it was supposed to be some kind of bachelor party for him, it was a very funny conversation with him, we had a lot of fun!

Have to say I' always pullin' for "the little blue pill"/#6/Martin but I don't haven't been keeping up on it too much so far this season as the demon has had a tight hold on my a$$. But, I'm feelin' a bit better now and hoping to be in front of the tube tomorrow night for the shootout. ;;D 8)

From what I read on Nascar.com, the Bud pole qualifying for Daytona will be at 12:10 PM EST Sunday.
