...but the Identity theft issue has been resolved, and the 8 grand in fraudulent credit card bills is cleared from my credit record. I feel very vindicated.

to add: Please my family, take advantage of the free yearly credit reports you can pull for yourself, and ensure there are no errors, and take the steps to correct any that are present. The three are Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union. It pays to be aware of what is on there.
