Title: Medical prob. from blowing up balloons?
Post by Melissa on Jan 26th, 2006, 9:12am
OMG, I have 180 balloons to blow up and have done 37 so far and needed a break!  Blowing up balloons can't kill a person...can they? :-/

I think I can help with your delema.Instead of breathing in the helium and the exhaling it into the balloons either use your ownhot air or just put the ballons right on the helium machine. [smiley=smug.gif]    [smiley=ohjez.gif]
I give this advice freely hope it helps.this is why blondes need to hire party planners instead of trying to do it themselves.

Minnie who's gonna take her crown and hide now

Minnie, not using a helium tank, sans why I'm blowing them up, LOL.  I was going to get a couple tanks, but hubby said no.  Figures.  He probably thinks I'm such an excellent hot air blower that I'd have no prob. ;)   [smiley=laugh.gif]

BTW, I'm getting high now, LMFAO

Just use your 02 to fill the balloons ..... CH abort to go.... some party favor....;;D :)

now that I think about it, use the O2 for you so you don't run out of air. :)

Get Lily and a couple of friends to do them all for you.. they are young enough to think it's fun!  ::)

Well shit, I already returned my O2 tanks.  Figures. ::)  And Lily is at school and won't have time to help me as she has Karate after school and then by the time we return, I'll be too tired to continue.

Right now I'm taking another break with a nice mug of hot cocoa. ;;D  When I'm done blowing them all up, I'll take a pic so ya'll can see! :D

BTW, our Valentine's Party is tomorrow, as that is the only day off hubby has for the next MONTH. :P  Tis the reason why I couldn't make it to DavCon...  Well that, and I missed Christmas and New Years with friends and family, hence the party. ;)

Oh man, I've been at this blowing stuff since 7:30am... 2 hours!! :o

There's a $5 hand pump that will fill a balloon with one or two strokes.  Highly reccommended.

Attempting to blow up 180 balloons?

I'd suggest a small amount of gasoline and a match.  :P

But seriously, get a pump.  $5 is nothing to pay for a decent pump, and they are at almost any party store.  Doing it the old-fashioned way it just slightly wacko.

Guess I'm wacko then. :-/

After 3 balloons popped and 3 having holes, I'm all done.  Took some nice breaks inbetween too!

Eli is definately enjoying my hard work, ignore the look on his face, every time I wanted him to sit still and smile, he'd move right away.  So by the time the damn S L O W camera took the pic, he had a different expression.  I only wish I could get in a pic of the whole bedroom floor!

Would I expect anything less of the nuts around here?? ::)

Ok, here are all the balloons tied in groups of 3 (for those wanting to know how it can be done quickly, just buy a bag of those tiny rubber bands for hair that come in 200-500 count.  If you can tie a ponytail, you can tie the balloons together! ;)).  The next pic I post will be of the house decorated, so that'll be later on tomorrow probably.  Happy Thursday! :D

Good job Mel.

By now you must be feeling a bit woozy, but as someone who does housecleaning for a living I have to say this.    Your dresser-top needs to be organized and cleaned up.  Don't make me come to WI. to show you how to do it.   ;;D

Good thing you didn't use helium Mel or this could have been Eli if he stepped outside with them.   ;)

Then say to your mother in law. "Touch the balloon with your cigarette".

Your husband doesn't have an air compressor? What's up with that? He has to have one, it's in the Constitution. Get your butt over to Home Depot. NOW!
