Title: close call today Post by maffumatt on Jan 25th, 2006, 4:39pm When you pull up to a railroad crossing. Look-Listen-Live It takes a quite a distance to stop a train. Please pay attention, turn your radio down, crack your window, and don't trust signals. Don't make an engineer live with your death. Thanks Matt |

Title: Re: close call today Post by BarbaraD on Jan 25th, 2006, 6:12pm Listen to Matt -- There's a very nice kid in a rehab hospital who's been there since 1997 who didn't listen. He'll never be right and is just there. Most of his friends have quit visiting him because it's just too hard on them to see him this way. The hospital finally put his sister to work there because she was there all the time anyhow. His brother is a doctor there so at least he has family that visits. He's about 35 now and will probably live to be 80... He had his life in front of him, but he just didn't stop, look and listen.... Hugs BD |

Title: Re: close call today Post by zwibbs/Scott on Jan 26th, 2006, 12:49am You're always better off waiting for the train to pass completely----Everone is always in such a rush---and no matter how fast you go you arrive maybe 5 minutes sooner than someone who drives responsibly. When driving over a Railroad intersection--no brain farts !!! |
