Title: Re: Catlind.... Post by TxBasslady on Jan 24th, 2006, 11:52pm Here's Clark's post... Cat's out for a bit « on: Today at 11:18pm » Quote Modify -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey all- This is Clark. Cat asked me to post to let you know she is in the hospital. She went in yesterday and they are doing some tests. It is nothing life-threatening so no unnecessary worrying for those prone to do so. Title: Re: Catlind....hospitalized Post by Mr. Happy on Jan 25th, 2006, 1:32am No food, no drinks, not so much as a filthy ice chip. Nothing oral. But they did run one of those "pic" lines into a chest vein, or something. She's pissed, but then again she's that way when the wind blows from the wrong direction. At least, this time, they won't be sending her home with some ExLax and a hearty handshake. Give `em hell, Cat. Jan/Feb/Mar are not typically her good months. Praise Clark. RJ |

Title: Update--- Post by catlind on Jan 27th, 2006, 9:10am She had her "scope" done yesterday and they didn't find anything. They started her on solid foods again, and just wanted to watch her overnight. They are expecting to release her today (Friday). She has already asked me about DAVCON, so I may give in and let her go tomorrow, spend the night, and come home Sunday, but we'll see. No promises! (Not like I ever have a say in anything around here...) ::) Clark |

Title: Re: Catlind....hospitalized Post by catlind on Jan 27th, 2006, 2:04pm I'm home!!!!!!!! And this was the Cat that gave em hell!!! http://members.cox.net/catlind/kittycat.jpg As long as things continue ok, I will be heading to DavCon either tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. They found nothing with the colonoscopy, no surprise there, and the GI doc was basically clueless. Fortunately my family doc has all the history and of course knows about all the testing done with the neuro surgeon, neuro opthamologist, and neuro endocrinologist. They let me loose on the condition I report in to the docs Monday morning to get referrals set up to see more specialists. They want to redo testing for the pheochromocytoma, as well as a myriad of other endocrine tests. They are wondering if there is some as yet unidentified problem with the liver or pancreas. They also are sending me to see a specialized cardiologist (not sure what that means) to try and determine if the coronary artery spasms are not only occuring in the coronary arteries, but throughout the brain and body (potentially explaining 80% of the cyclical symptoms). The endo is convinced it's from the pituitary cyst, but believes it's cyclical and we just need to get the tests done at the right time to get the answers. Bottom line, palpitations, chest pressure, shortness of breath, dizziness, black outs, extreme fatigue, abdominal pain and blockages, numbness in hands and arms, hot flashes and cold sweats, nausea and visual disturbances with transient peripheral vision blindness, and they don't know why. Will keep everyone posted as I learn more. They may not have any answers for me, but they sure do know a helluva lot more about clusters!!! ;) Cat |
