Title: fallenheroesfund.org Post by Franklin on Jan 12th, 2006, 7:05pm A hospital for war amputees is being built in San Antonio, Texas. It is sponsored entirely from donated funds. This will be a state of the art facility to help our wounded heroes transition back into society. All donations go 100% to the fund. No money is paid to executives, like the director of the Red Cross who pulls down $500,000. If you want to support the troops, here is the place. It does not matter if you support the war or if you think it is against everything you believe in. Your donation here simply means you want to support those heroes who went there for us. For those who know me, this is Paco. For those who don't, STFU. |

Title: Re: fallenheroesfund.org Post by Franklin on Jan 12th, 2006, 8:58pm Minnie, I don't know you, but I like you. This fund is the first I have found that is not wrapped up in government or outfits that have directors that pull down huge salaries. All of the donations go to building the facility. The guy who got it started is Richard Santuli, who heads a private airline. The facility will offer rehabilitation treatment for combat related amputees, and will house their families during the time of treatment. I can't think of a better place to support. Thank you. |

Title: Re: fallenheroesfund.org Post by BarbaraD on Jan 13th, 2006, 6:23am They have to raise $10 mil to get get it built so every dollar counts. Don Imus is pushing it on his radio show (Imus in the Morning). I think he's raised a million or more so far. Halliburton refused to donate anything - go figure. This IS a good cause for our kids coming back from Iraq and if you've got some extra bucks throw it their way. Hugs BD |
