Ok before you all read about me in the papers I really need a calming influence!
The year 2005 has put me at wits end, at work our insurance has a drug program designed to weene people off of there meds! I know this because of the MANY prescriptions I have mailed in 1 yes 1 was filled, 1 was returned stating "We are unable to fill the prescription for(med name)20mg because we are unable to read(med name)20mg, please have your doctor rewrite and resubmitt the prescription for(med name)20mg." ok big question if they could not read the med name which they correctly put in the spots (med name) then how did they know what to put there? After that point every perscription mailed in seemed to never arrive, using the envelopes they provide, pre addressed. I call 2 weeks after mailing them and with no delay the response is always we never recieved it. they never even ask for my id/ acount number. this resulted in 0 mailed in filled, and me calling doctors office to have them fax in the prescription to get it filled. To top off all of that they actually contacted me wanting me to pay them for the ones they filled, even though it took 2 or more trys to get them filled. I called them last week to clear that up and they at that point said I never called between those times april and december. that pi55ed me off to a level I have not known for some time. I got them paid with the promise they would not loose any more of them. did i happen to mention that 2 and 1/2 weeks ago I mailed in another and today I called to verify it was sent, guess what!!!!!!!! I demanded a manager and when she came on I told her to hold so I could get docs office on with us to fax to her and she could hand deliver to pharmacy to fill and avernight to us because son has 1 pill left. while she was on hold she hung up!!!!! oh by the way was getting hit and bp going through roof at same time because of anger. >:( >:( >:( >:( some one please give me a reason not to make national news!

Aw, man... Frustrating, isn't it? Sorry to hear about the hell you're going through with your insurance company, and it's such bullshit that now, HMO's are dictating to physicians how they can and cannot practice medicine. Hang in there, Mike. There are plenty of good people who care about you and don't want to read about you in the newspapers, so there's a bunch of good reasons. Be well, my friend.

Man, that's not even funny, Mike. There was a kid I went to school with whose father was cop. One night, answering a call to a liquor store hold-up, the cop had use lethal force and killed the suspect. It fucked up his career, and in turn, his family, and fucked him up mentally, too.

Suicidal thoughts are the ultimate indicator that you need to gain some perspective on your situation. There are a lot of stupid people on this planet, and dealing with them can drive you crazy, but suicide only makes you one of them, and leaves a wake of destruction that you can't imagine. Do you really want to have that as your legacy?

I could give you a few sob stories that would make you re-evaluate your current problems... My friend JP, for example, who has spent every day of the last 3 years visiting his nephew in the hospital who was born with most of his organs on the outside of his body... I got a lot to choose from... makes my $586,000 tax bill seem like a *small* problem.

Get some perspective and don't go putting yourself in the papers. It's the worst way out, and pretty damn selfish too.

Listen to Shaun, Mike. It's all about perspective. Now, take a deep breath...
Call the place back. Ask to speak to the highest ranking manager on the premises. Explain that your child needs his meds NOW. Work with them about how they can do that. Overnight mail at their expense? They can have a local pharmacy fill a few in the meantime (and they pay for it).
Somewhere past your frustration is a reasonable and assertive guy, who's just looking out for his kid.

Sorry you gotta deal with such idiots. They are in the business of filling prescriptions, but they cant fill prescriptions.......I know, it makes you mad!!!!
But take a step back, and take a deep breath (of O2 if need be). Maybe let the wife call them up next time.

here's another train of thought. Go on the internet and look up the insurance company's home page. Get the name and address of the CEO as well as the BOD and FAX them letters telling of your treatment (same letter to all with a CC: to who all you're sending it to - also put a lawyer in there as well as your doc). I can almost guarantee you'll get some results and quickly. But be sure to put a CC: to a lawyer with Attorney-At-Law beside his name - that seems to get their attention.

If the first one doesn't work, I usually add a couple of Senators and congressment and the New York Times to the second one. They really hate that. Letters have always done me more good than a phone call.

Insurance sucks.

I was told that I got a raise this year. I got my first check and it's smaller than my last one of 2005.

The reason??? Insurance went up more than my raise. And then the bastards won't pay for half of the stuff I need to get.

Ok I am trying to breath but about to go into round 4 with them today alone. I have also recorded all the calls last week and today with them. By the time I am done I am going to try to break it off in there a55e5 ... Now just waiting on docs ofce to tell me fax sent then I am back on again. >:( >:( and I do agree they think they are the anti christ but they soon will find out I am satan himself! I totally agree with Barb on this one. Sending letters to the top dogs, cc'ing each of them in the letter is VERY effective!

Also, each time you talk to someone, WRITE DOWN THEIR NAME(S) and the date/time you talked to them. After writing it down, repeat all the info BACK to them, it makes 'em remember the convo better.

Then when you write your letters, you can include each persons name and when you spoke to them. Again, very very effective!

In the meantime, deep breaths, lots and lots of deep breaths!

Depends what you mean by getting in the papers.

If it's cc'ing every local and national newspaper on the correspondence you have as to why your insurance company is refusing to provide a child's healthcare and letting their corporate communications manager answer these questions direct to the press - I can't see a problem.

In these days of 'corporate social responsibility' getting a little bad publicity for your medical insurance provider can be no bad thing. Hit them where it might hurt a bit.

You don't need to fight yourself - just the bastards who deserve it.

just got done with round 4 .... ding ding
round 5 tomorrow morning. they are hattn but they about panicked when i offered to play back what they said last week and today is being recorded too! >:( >:( >:( >:(

insurance company 2 rounds goat 2 rounds and the goat is on fire.

the goat is sticking them hard and ducking every shot they took in the last 2 rounds.

round 5 looks to be a real doosey, goat will call in to make sure meds get expidited through and overnighted at no additional cost. got manager on tape agreed to it already.

We're all going to have to lower our expectations from the medical world. They do great things but when you have to scale that up to 300,000,000 people, the money makes it go out of control.

Here we are at the end of round 5.
the challenger (goat) came out swinging but the champ was on his toes.
it was a close round but the challenger got in a couple of really good shots.
Informed the champ he will be calling back at 1200, and will be expecting to hear meds in mail overnight, otherwise will be asking for supervisors boss and pharmacy boss to be added on and will be out today overnighted, the goat knowing they will be ready is actually going to call at 1100 though to catch them off guard.
round 6 will begin 1 hour early. ;;D

well here we are seems round 6 was a demolition derby the challenger busted their defences apart and in an attemt to recover the ran from the ring.(hung up 3 times)

May also contact a ~~Liar~~Lawyer to see if we can get compensated for 8 months of putting up with this carp. sohht if someone can spill coffee on them self and win why not!
at least endangering the health and welfare of my Wife, kids and putting my own health at risk is alot more than being clumsey with hot coffee or spilling my own drink slipping on it and winning alot too. and many other things too!
Mostly I want to expose them for the lying frauds they are!
