Title: Re: Take this test Post by MJ on Jan 7th, 2006, 2:33pm Got 29 of 30 Blew it on the amendments. A few states have an official lanquage. Arizona - a state that is like 40% or more latino has or had an official language as english pass in recent years. Thats one way to reduce half the vioices among us. I think they still publish official government info in both spanish and english though. Funny that very few current residents were ever native to the area. They just wanted it to be like back home. |

Title: Re: Take this test Post by imnotbub on Jan 10th, 2006, 11:55am 24 Got the official language one wrong, even though I really thought it was none, and picked English anyway. The story as I heard it on "official" language was back in the day, a vote was going to be taken to decide whether to use English or German. The powers that were wanted English, so held the vote on a day that they knew all the German's would be out drinking. Danke, Steve |
