Title: Re: good morning Post by TomM on Dec 30th, 2005, 8:52am Hey, the sun is rising somewhere and you know what that means? Yup, Beer-30. Time to crack one open. Too bad I'm @ the office. I love sunrise. My favorite time of day. Everything is so fresh and new. |

Title: Re: good morning Post by pattik on Dec 30th, 2005, 9:18am Wow, lovely photo, Matt! As Mel said, we've been under a cloud for a while, so it's great to be able to share a sunrise. Thanks for the wake-up. ;;D |

Title: Re: good morning Post by Redd715 on Dec 30th, 2005, 11:56am Just awsome Matt...thanks... Last night I witnessed a very strange sight indeed. The cloud cover was very heavy, and I was heading south on I39 between Wausau and Stevens Point. All of a sudden, there was this ball of light in the sky, that grew larger and larger, until it broke threw clouds. Then it was clear that it was the direct headlights of an airplane on it's decent to the Mosinee airport, and the light was reflecting off the water and ice crystals in the cloud bank before the plane crossed the barrior. It was a strange but neat thing to witness. |

Title: Re: good morning Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Dec 30th, 2005, 5:08pm Awesome pics and thanks for sharing. We finally had sunshine today - in fact it was hard to believe that it's December. After the crap we've had for the past week - this was a welcome relief. Carol |

Title: Re: good morning Post by cynjeep89 on Jan 3rd, 2006, 8:54pm Darn it Jimmy!!! My boyfriend and I missed you by two days. We were in Dagsboro, Delaware outside of South Bethany Beach, Delaware from December 25th thru the 26th visiting my Mom and brother for Christmas. Isn't the beach nice this time of the year? Wish it was like that all year long....little traffic, good travel time from up north and no lines anywhere at any of the stores or restaurants...just like the old days!! Hope you had a great holiday! |

Just missed ya. We went down to O.C. Maryland on 12/27 until 12/30. The weather was great. Plus the hotel had an indoor pool, jacuzzi's & sauna. Felt like it was summer. Here's the Hotel view http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/3932/hotelview3pi.jpg We also went the couple miles south to Assateague Island...they have wild horses that live & roam on the island...kinda like a natural drive-through safari. This horse was my favorite...followed us around for a few... http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/1763/showletter3si.jpg I'm sorry we missed ya...I love going to the O.C. it just kinda gets expensive in the summer. Title: Re: good morning Post by cynjeep89 on Jan 4th, 2006, 5:28pm Jimmy...nice view from the hotel. Don't you wish the beach was that empty during the summer down in O.C.? The weather was nasty when we went downstate.....rainy and dreary but it was still nice to get away. When I lived down at the beach, I spent my days on 2nd Avenue in South Bethany. Nice and quiet area. When I wanted to be around crowds, I hit the beach in Dewey on Swedes Street across from the The Starboard and Bottle and Cork. Now I love the beach from October thru April. Once in a while we'll take the RV and camp at the Indian River Inlet. John likes to fish and I like walking over to the north side of the inlet to watch the surfing. Can't surf to save my arse but grew up with a brother who surfs. We have a friend named Doc who owns Ocean Atlantic Surf Shop in O.C. and try to get down to see him each time we are in the area but haven't had a chance lately. If you have a chance, stop in and say "Hi" to him...he's a cool guy! Have you ever gone into Rehoboth to Nicola'a Pizza and gotten a Nic-o-boli? YUM!! Brought home two cases of them this trip. Also used to go to the Feedbag restaurant in Fenwick Island a lot. Was a great place to eat and they used to have great music there. Let me know the next time you are headed down that way. John and I might just be in the area visiting the relatives. Hope you had a great trip!! |

Ya know...I've never stopped at the Delaware beaches...even though we pass by em on the way down route 1 to Ocean City. I always loved the signs for "Slaughter Beach" :D Always pictured something like the old "B" Horror movie "Blood Beach". Usually in the summer we head down to Wildwood, NJ or Cape May, NJ and Atlantic City & Ocean City, NJ are only about an hour away...so we'll spend the summers there. But each offseason (either around Christmas or Easter) we'll head to Ocean City, MD. and next time I go...I'll look up Doc and hopefully meet up with you and your boyfriend. In fact I was gonna post on CH.com before we left...just in case we could meet up with some people from the board...but with the holidays and all...it slipped my mind. :( Definitely see ya next trip. Title: Re: good morning Post by cynjeep89 on Jan 4th, 2006, 8:05pm The state parks are nice.....usually not too crowded. Try them out next time you are down there in the summer. Great fishing at the south side of the Indian River Inlet if you like to fish. Doc's shop is Ocean Atlantic Surf Shop on 34th and Coastal Highway. John and I might be downstate around Easter to have dinner with Mom and my brother. Let us know if you'll be headed down then. Have never met another CHer!! ...and Jonny......John and I already have a room ;) [smiley=laugh.gif] |
