Title: Re: hema crania continua Post by Ladibug on Dec 28th, 2005, 10:16am Thanks, but I have done Indomyocin and I did find relief. But the problem is that I had Gastric Bypass Surgery and the Indomyocin side effects will damage my stomach! I tried a compound pharmacist who made it in a cream, but it did not work as well. So I am in a bind, either I damage my stomach or my liver... which do I choose. Thanks again for your information. |

Title: Re: hema crania continua Post by LeLimey on Dec 28th, 2005, 10:52am Ladibug when I was first diagnosed with CH I had a indomethacin trial to rule out PH. I too have had a lot of stomach damage and I had some other stuff to take with it to protect my stomach from the indo. I'm sorry I can't remember what it was now but you're doctor will know the sort of thing. Good luck and let us know how you get on okay? Helen |

Title: Re: hema crania continua Post by Barry_T_Coles on Dec 28th, 2005, 8:30pm Hi Melanie Here's some info from a Australian site. I use this to help me with Exploding head syndrome and get a fair ammont of relief from it. You may be able to get a similar product from a health food store. Kaprex is an Australian product and you may not be able to get it by that name elsewhere. Hope it helps Kind Regards Barry Kaprex: A Safe Alternative to Anti-Inflammatory and Pain Killing Medication Don’t like taking drugs when you have aches and pains? Worried about the risks involved with anti-inflammatory drugs such as Celebrex and Mobic? (1) Well now at Enhance along with our hands on therapy, we have a “Gut Friendly” Anti-inflammatory called Kaprex. Produced and researched by Metagenics (2), Kaprex effectiveness has been shown to produce a 50% reduction in joint discomfort (2). This figure is considered a gold standard for analgesic formulations. This makes Kaprex ideally recommended for pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatism and injury. Kaprex’s mode of action is different to COX 2 inhibitors and other NSAIDs, thus making it safer. It has been tested in human clinical trials for complications in gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, hepatic and renal health, and no problems were demonstrated. Also no drug interactions were observed. However it has not been tested in pregnant or breastfeeding women, though going by its active ingredients there is no indication it will be a problem. Kaprex contains rosemary, hops and olive leaf to produce its pain relieving. (1)http://www.tga.gov.au/media/2005/050214_cox2.htm (2)http://www.metagenics.com.au |
