Hy to all:

I just discover this web. It`s wonderfull.
I`m 50 years old, married, 4 childrens, mechanical eng,  and have CH from 17. But life  It´s life !.

I hope to find here some frieds who knows this paint.

Its nice to meet you, I clicked on this thread thinking "Oooh.. the King of Spain!"  but luckily for you you don't have to put up with all those miliatry parades huh?! ;)
Tell us a bit more about your CH? What meds do you have to control it with? Are you chronic? Episodic?
You will certainly find friends here, you'll find a whole new family who will help you through the good and bad times of clusterville!

jajaja, I`m not a King . I have an small problem, only CH.

Actually I'm at my CH period using O2 with Imigran (new for me from 2 years). Before that many all kind off pils.

I have an cirgury at trigeminus nervus (1985) but not work.

My episodies are at this seasons (July - Agust) 3 to 6 weeks. Then I can live in peace some months.

Tks for your words, they are very important for me and my family. We are not alone !!!!

Welcome Juan Carlos, from your fellow Chilean and clusterhead (since age 16). Well sort of... American born and raised y no hablo Espanol. My father is from Valparaiso and my mother's parents from Santiago. There is another Chilean who visits now and then, but I can't remember her name right now.  :(

Juan Carlos, bienvenido/welcome,

I found this place 2+ months ago and they saved my sanity. Great group of people. I am venezuelan born, US naturalized. I do speak and write spanish, so if you ever want to chat, PM me.

Other than O2 and imigran, what else do you use? Many of us have found some relief with melatonin, coffee, and a few adventurous other with some "natural" remedies.

This is the best place to be if you suffer from clusters.  Here is support for you and your family and another very important thing, you will never be alone again with your ch.

I have been episodic since 1982, in February and July.  The headaches starting to change and went out of their usual cycle after a car wreck.  A doctor put me on seizure medicine which made me feel worse not better.

I am currently using kudzu which helped me through July.  Amazing is all I can say.  Check that out under treatments.

This is really worth reading, you probably never knew this much about clusters!  This is from floridian.

Read up, and maybe you can find some relief, and if not you always have our support.  Have your partner go to supporters for help too.  Supporters are special people.

If you ever need comic relief, there is also plenty of it here too!  At first glance, I wondered what was going on :o when "harsh words" were exchanged with some new "members," and I realized they were not new at all.  Our old timers know about plenty of the idiots/aka trolls who come on here and try to sell you the magic potion.  They come in and out changing names trying to preach their latest dose of garbage.  Very funny to read through some of that...Just when I was wondering why they didn't just ignore them, I realized what fun and comic relief it was to join in a troll roasting....

Some backgound on your condition, current treatments, etc. would be appreciated.  It's a good way for folks here to know how much information you may or may not need.  

What river are you floating and I can't make it out but is that a fly rod?  

Look around there's quite a bit of good information and the folks here are great when someone needs support.

It`s Puelo River, South of Chile, South America.
At this river there are big rainbows and browns.

jeje the Fly rod It`s only for the picture. I´m not trolling with that. jajaja

I've a Fly Fishing lodge at this river, www.riomanso.cl,  and all yours  are welcome here.

TKS. again for the support I get here a lot of information, and support. For 35 years I've Ch, and I think.. I'm crazy..nobody knows what happend,  but know I understand... I have a problem but there are many people like me that can live with the some problem. Ok I can do that !!!!



Last night was very hard !!! 4 attacks.  But O2 was the solution. Need buy more... jejeje

About my experience:

My CH start at 35 years ago, I´m episodic. It was defined like stress, neuralgia, migraña, etc etc. at 1985 I've a trigeminus cirgury.

At 1997 the final diagnosis: CLuster Headache !!! ¿?
My episodies are in July - Agust, 3 - 7 weeks, 3 - 4 per day, 99% at night, kip scale=9, left side eye,

Currently using:

Topiramato
O2 from 2 years
Imigran

A question:
Some indication with the cigarette !!!!
With the topiramato I need !!!!!! smoke. Normally I smoke 5-6 cigarrete per day, now 20 !!!!!

Juan Carlos, I no longer smoke, but for many, tobacco is a trigger. Most stop smoking while in cycle.... then start back up. I smoke cigars, about 1/week, and that doesn't seem to trigger, but I don't inhale.

That river does look nice! Like e-double said, I hope to see some pictures of you fishing WITH CH!!!!

At least now you are here in the company of others in the same "boat."  How's this for a visual comedy, your boat, a pile of cluster heads floating down the Puelo with their O2 tanks on board.  "We're sinking, we're sinking!"  

Re: people say the smoking triggers it, it aggravates me when someone says something like that when they have not experienced it.  Like when they say "your blood pressure is probably why your head hurts" NO, it's up because I am having CH?!  Or the caffiene/smoking as a trigger, but for SOME they have to realize it's the only way to cope AFTER it had started not the other way around!!!!
