HI. This is my first post and i only found this site recently. the first time i read someone else's decsriptions of the ch, i cried. i couldn't believe there are other people that have this too. my doctors still call them migranes and i know some people feel i am just wimpy with pain or exagerating. it feels so good to now have a name for this horrible thing that is trying to ruin my life and to see my symptoms described exacty makes me feel so much better. thank you so much for this site. the ch have turned me into a real loner but now i don't feel so alone.

Years ago before I was correctly Dx'd, I recall how my ex hubby treated me when he would have to rush me to the ER in the middle of the night, or the occasional day trips where I would call him to come home from work to take me. (We only lived about 10 blocks from his work). I was called a wimp so many times I couldn't count if I tried.

Moke welcome, its good to have you here with us.
Do you have any meds for ch and if so what are you taking? I know you have said your doc is still treating you for migraines so take the cluster quiz on the left, there are other conditions which are similar to CH but need quite different meds so its important to get exactly the right type of diagnosis or you will be taking meds that just won't help. It will also be something you can then show your doc.
Mind you.. if he isn't doing a good job for you then change docs, you owe it to yourself!
Have a look at the post that is locked at the top of this board "letter to friends and employers". Print it off and give it to people so they can understand what ch is about.

Welcome aboard, I am new here also but can tell you the info and support you get here is incredible. take all info you can get from here to your nuero and get proper treatment. take care of yourself. jim
