It has been a couple of years without clusters,and i forgot the pain. Like childbirth i guess. I started bout 10 days ago and now they are getting mor regular time and increased intensity. I had an attack at 6pm last night at work, the worst to date. I had no imitrex shots with me and rode it out screaming rocking and sobbing on the floor foe an hour. My left eye is still blurry, my entire left side of my body is very weak. I am so depressed cause i know what is in store for me! I want to try that herb kudzlo anyone that can advise me on what to start with i would be so grateful. I refuse to go on Lithium again, besides I don't think it helped. I have no insurance and 1 to 2 shots aday will put me in the poorhouse quick! I went to neurologist 2 years ago, I dont think he was familiar with this because he was very unsympathetic, even after i told him I got rid of my gun so i did'nt use it on myself.

Hi Mara, welcome. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. There are several threads on the meds board about kudzu. If you look at the locked topic "What's this kudzuuuu about" you'll find links to all the threads. Read them all. Some are long and sometimes silly, but you should be fully informed before you try it. Pay special attention to possible meds interactions. Have you tried oxygen to abort? Over on the left is a link for oxygen info. Read it and see about asking your dr for it. Good luck and pain free wishes, nani

Hi Mara,

I'm so sorry you are hurting so much. Have you tried ice or heat on your head or your neck while getting hit? Or a steamy shower? Sometimes it can take the edge off some of the lower grade ones.

Also the oxygen link in the vertical bar to the left

is good to read too. You can get welders O2 without a script and if it works it might be worth the small investment. it's also good to know what to ask for in case you need to go to the ER or call an ambulance.

Sorry you are getting hit so bad. I am going to assume that you have read some threads on the prior information that the other board members suggested. I have found "for me" that "Planetary Formulas Kudzu Recovery" taken per daily dosage recommendation is doing a pretty good job of helping. I know there are other brands and types. I buy mine from www.vitacost.com or www.iherb.com. Best wishes, Joe
