Title: Greetings Post by Keiyentai on Mar 31st, 2005, 6:44am Hey. My name is Jeremy and I have had cluster headaches since I was about 13. I am 20 now and I have one right this moment as I type. I get cluster headaches at least once a year but on average I get one ever 3-5 months that lasts for at least a week. So far this one has been going on for 6 days and it just plain sucks, hopefully I can find something to help them. |

Title: Re: Greetings Post by javi_spain on Mar 31st, 2005, 6:58am Sorry to hear you are suffering right now Jeremy, it must be bad to have been suffering at such young age. We all know how it feels (as you said, it sucks) Have a look around here, people are getting results with some of the alternative therapies, I would not hesitate to go for the Kuzum. Good luck mate |

Title: Re: Greetings Post by nani on Mar 31st, 2005, 8:19am Hi Jeremy, I agree that you need to see a neurologist who really knows headaches. It's very important to get a definitive diagnosis so that you can get the help you need. Keep a headache diary. Include times, severity, duration, and what you did right before the HA to identify possible triggers. Look around the site here and gather as much info as you can. Take the cluster quiz, look at oxygen info and treatments. Links are on the left. Many of us have gotten significant relief with the supplement kudzu. There is a lot of info on kudzu on the medications and treatments board. I hope you don't have cluster headaches, but if you do, you've found the best place to get help. Good luck and pain free wishes, nani |

Title: Re: Greetings Post by lanna on Apr 2nd, 2005, 1:43pm Hi Jeremy, I am also in an pisode right now, I was just prescibed Prednisone, which is said to abort a cycle and so far it is working for me. I have 10 mg pills that I started with 6 of on the first day nd following 3 days. The first night I was headache free. I am told to cut down 1 pill every 3 days until I'm at 1 pill... maybe this could help you knock the cycle out. Good Luck, Carolyn |
