Hi, I am a female and I am chronic. I am on verapamil and lithium and am going to try the Kudzu mineral everyone has been posting about. I have been reading here for awhile and have learned alot so thanks alot.

Hi Candy...welcome! If you are on verapamil and want to try kudzu, please watch your blood pressure. Kudzu also has calcium channel blocking properties, so if you normally have low BP, you should space your med doses accordingly and keep an eye on it. better yet - PLEASE check with your doctor before starting the kudzu! We have only known about this treatment for a very short time and, as such, don't know yet how it interacts with chemical meds. Yes, Floridian has done some amazing research here but - we are not medical professionals at this website. We cannot (and should not!) advise you with regard to mixing medications!

Lithium is also a strong drug. Please talk to your doctor before you add something new to your treatment regime! Kudzu obviously has very strong properties, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing any results with it!!

Candy, odds are good your doctor has never heard of kudzu or what it does. If you want to discuss this with him/her print out this page and bring it to your next appointment. Many of us are using it with great success along with our other prevents. I have been able to stop lithium altogether. I have high BP, so I don't worry about mine going too low.

What abortive do you use? For many of us (70%), including me 02 works wonders and quickly if used at the proper flo rate and with correct regulator and mask. Read the oxygen info (left of screen, above the yelllo OUCH link), copy and take to your doc (requires prescription). Due to high cholesterol and arterie blockage, I can't take triptans and 02 is my only abortive . . . never without it.

Just wanted to let you know if you need a friend to talk to I am here.I think we all could use a cluster buddie.I am also new.I always thought I would have to deal with this sickness by myself.Now I know I am not alone in this battle. ;)
