Although I posted on the guest book, I'll take a moment to
re-introduce myself. I am Margaret G, from Arkansas.
An early visitor to clusterheadaches.com, I've not been on the net much the past few years. I hope to get back in the groove now.
Happily, I am still in remission from my last cycle which ended in November 1999. The Nortriptyline prescribed by my neuro finally worked for me. Since 2001 I have been medication and
CH free. My neuro is of the opinion this will be permanent, I am of the opinion we'll see. He made a good point however when he told me "clusterheadaches are not a normal occurance, therefore there is no reason to expect to have they will start up again."
The closest I've come since 99 have been some migraines and some dreams that I was having a cluster. The pain was enough to wake me, but not enough I had to get up. I can live with that!
The site has changed considerably, so I'll spend some time learning my way around and hopefully encounter some old friends and meet some new. ;)

Welcome back, Margo. I think your opinion of "we'll see" is healthly, though it would be great if it was permanent. Cluster headaches are named for their recurrence in clusters; does your neuro not realize this? Anyway, always nice to have more fellow clusterheads around here.

Nice to meet you. Long may your PFDAN's continue. It is people like you Margaret that gives me hope and support. I've been in cycle since OCT 04. This site has been my life line to sanity. ;)

Well, hello MargaretG!! Nice to hear from you again :)

I'm so glad to see that you've been pain free all this time. I've often wondered what happened to you. I think the last we heard from you was that you were moving and had internet connection problems as a result.

Hope your remission is permanent, my friend.
