My great grandmother and great grandfather were. :) After my great grandfather passed away, my great grandmother set sail for the "New World" with her son.

Night Zombie

These foreigners sometimes don't realise that XXX means you are sending them kisses. ;;D

You are as likely to find people from Ireland on OUCH UK. I know there are a few and they complain bitterly about the poor treatment of CH there.

Hi Zombie,

Just spotted your post. I am not Irish but my name is certainly found there. Never met anyone in England with the name. Although an Irish friend sent me a photo of her standing next to a road sign (in Eire) of a place called 'Ellick's Town'. Guess I will have to make  a visit there sometime.  The name books tell me the name originates from Scotland. My father in law originates from Dublin and relatives live in a place called Rathrun. How I got my name is too obscure to go in to here.

Bye the way XX.

All the best

Ellick.
