I don’t normally post things , but I owe this website big time. Here’s my story. Somewhere around ten years ago I would occasionally get a sinus headache. It would occur almost everyday at about 7pm. It wasn’t too bad, I’d take benedryl and it seemed to make the headache go away. This happened for a few weeks then the headaches would go away. Obviously an allergy. The sinus headaches would come back again for a few weeks during the winter or spring months each year. This year it was much worst. Benedryl wasn’t helping and the pain was VERY BAD. So off to the doctor. The doctor prescribed two nasal sprays and an allergy medication (Clariton). And if those didn’t help in two weeks I was to take amoxicillin (antibiotic) for two weeks. After one week of the nasal sprays I started the amoxicillin. The daily headaches were still happening after four days of amoxicillin. And they were k9’s to k10’s. This was obviously not a sinus infection, so I went online to check out headaches. And there I found this thing called a Cluster Headache. And darn if it didn’t describe my headaches to the tee. Then I found this website. And found that all the stuff I was doing was wrong. And wouldn’t help. But now, I knew what I had. I knew that my headaches would only last a short time, even if I did nothing. I knew that I was not alone in my pain. I was freed from the torture of the unknown. Then after reading the posts for a couple hours and getting lots of great information. I felt the beginning of a headache. One of the posts mentioned heat applications using some rice in a cotton sock zapped in a microwave oven. My wife has frequent back pain and has some items called body buddies. You zap them in the microwave oven and then apply them on the affected area. I tried it. WOW. It worked for me. Simple heat was my savior. Thank God, and thank this website. The cluster is over for now :). No headaches :). Life is good again ;). But, next time they arrive I’ll be ready. And I hope that the heat will still work. It will be my first line of defense. And if for some reason heat doesn’t work next time (and we all know there will be a next time) I’ll have my doctor and this website to help me find a way to keep the pain to a minimum. I'm so glad you found us! :) And so sorry that you have CH. :(
I am very happy that you've found something which works with your CH.

Welcome to the board. Glad to hear the cluster is over for now. But, sorry to say, if it is truly clusters it will be back. Now is the time to read, read, read everything on this site and over at the OUCH site. Educate yourself. There may be a time when you will have to educate your doctor about treatments. Stick around and keep us informed on how you're doing.
