Title: K-9's fiance
Post by LadyK-9 on Jan 26th, 2005, 1:01am
Hi,
My name is Jeanette. I have been with K-9 for the last three 1/2 years. We are getting married in August of this year.
I am so happy that K-9 found this sight. It has really helped him to know that he is not alone and that his feelings are shared by a whole multitude of people.
I would like to support him and to keep our relationship strong, even in those times when his attacks are relentless and his strength is fading.
Because there is no support handbook, I am here hoping to gain some insight into how other supporters support while still maintaining a healthy balance in their own lives.
I am glad we found the sight and I hope to hear from some other supporters.

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, nice to meet you crappy way to meet, but good to know you found us, I am posting you to let you know what my wife did.

Allie, my wife, was getting really frustrated with watching me toss and turn and basically go insane night after night, knowing full-well she could in no possible way help me, she told me to start writing my info down.
Time of attacks:
Duration of attacks:
Food intake:
Remedies:

Just keep a journal and try this, tell him to drink water, lots of water, and have sex right before bed, apparently endorphins are natural painkillers. And praying might be a good idea, not that religion will help.

Good luck to you and yours', Moe.

Hi ....again, Jeanette

Even though I am a sufferer......I am also a supporter.

I have always felt that love for your sufferer is the best support you can give.   CH is tough.   It'll suck the life out of you if you let it.   You have spent 3 1/2 years supporting....and it looks like you have done a great job, sweetie.

What a great privilege to meet you both in Davenport.
You're a great looking couple!

Keep on loving and supporting....just remember to take time out for yourself every once in a while.

PF Vibes to K-9 and lots of vibes and well wishes for you.

Hang in there.....

Much love,

Jean

Thanks for the welcomes, feedback and advice guys. It is really cool that both CH's and supporters are on the same sight. You get a chance to see how everyone interacts and copes. I myself, rely partially on my outrageous sense of humor and lots of witty bantar... (no, that's Chuck and Michelle) love them for that! I'm a little on the quiet side but I'm workin on it.

I might holla (Woobie) and feel free to do the same. I would be glad to lend an ear at any time. As long as you promise to give it back. ba da dum (and people think I'm not funny) Yah I know I know,  I'll leave it to the pros.

Anyway, glad to be here.

Jeanette
