Nice 2 find a site with plenty of info.Have been having these devils 4 20 yrs & like most without any relief up until a couple of years ago. Doc put me on Imigram to break the cycle. Sucess in my case until recently.New doc, new drug.This doc has put me on Isoptin which is a blood pressure pill,nothing wrong with my B.P. though.

Welcome cray and I'm sorry you had to find us. I use verapamil ( a blood pressure drug) as a preventative...along with lithium and Neurontin. From what I understand, easing the blood flow helps because CH is a vascular headache. Imitrex and other triptans are used to abort headaches. (I think Imigran is Imitrex here in the US). Look around the boards here, look ath the OUCH sites and gather info. Keep posting, we're here for support. Pain free wishes to you...

Imigram/imitrex is the last thing that will break a cycle........it will prolong it!
