I have not been here for awhile. I was ch free for 2 1/2 years . Then 2 days ago I awoke with massive pain in my head. There back. Today was a bad day. 4 episodes lasting 2 hrs each. Last med I was on was Topomax, But not sure I want to go there again. Is there anything new out there?

Welcome nickster, sorry you're here. I'm not sure what you've already tried, but look around the boards...there are many treatments. Pain free wishes to you.

all i can do is tell you what seems to be working for me. i was gettin' hit daily, after three years of remission. taking verapmil (160mg) and melatonin. only gettin hit once a week now. that is very rare for me!
