Title: Newbie from the Springs
Post by marieinthesprings on Dec 3rd, 2004, 9:07am
Greetings from Colorado,

My first encounter with CH was in 1988.  I got them for 5 weeks once a year until 1999 and I was pf up until about 3 weeks ago, and I thought it was gone forever :(.  My doc gave me midrin coz that is what worked for me before but its not working any more, so the nero gave me zomig.  Anyone else use it?  My attacks normally wake me around 1am and i am up pacing and pounding my head and jumping in and out of the shower, nothing helps of course, I wish this cycle would end I am so tired.  Take care all and happy I found this site.....Marie

Welcome Marie...sorry you're here. Look around the boards here and at the OUCH site. You'll find lots of treatment info. Zomig is a med that aborts headaches. You may want to talk to your dr about preventative meds, also. Oxygen is also a good abortive for some. Look around here for threads on melatonin, it helps many who are hit at night. Good luck and pain free wishes to you.

Marie,
The zomig is better than the midrin I think. But what do I know.  [smiley=laugh.gif]Have to find what works for you. You can get through the cycle. ;) It will end as you know. Were a tough bunch huh? >:( I would think after a break like that somehow they would seem worse. Hang in there.
