Title: New w/ Imitrex ??? Post by scottieo9 on Nov 16th, 2004, 6:37pm Hi all, Had CHs sporadically for about 10 years, but never in a really bad cycle, so never saw a doc. Now I'm in a particularly vicious bout, so saw my GP and got some Imitrex NS yesterday. Did the trick for my nightly 9pm-er pretty fast, about 15-20 min. But my early morning 4am-er was full blown when it woke me up, so I didn't take anything and it passed in about 30. Is there anything that can be done for the overnight attacks? The Imitrex is great when I can catch the beginning of an attack, but that's not always gonna be the case. Sorry I'm here, but it's nice to have support. |

Title: Re: New w/ Imitrex ??? Post by scottieo9 on Nov 16th, 2004, 7:22pm Thanks, jonny. If it comes to it, I'll get the shots. I was just hoping there was something out there to help prevent the overnighters. Or take a hit of Imitrex before going to bed or something. Scott |

Title: Re: New w/ Imitrex ??? Post by nani on Nov 16th, 2004, 7:35pm Welcome and I'm sorry you're here. I don't get hit at night, but many who do use melatonin before bed. It helps them sleep all night (I think). Look thru the archives or search for melatonin and see what they have to say about it. Good luck... |
