Title: Re: my brother suffers from CH Post by BobG on Nov 3rd, 2004, 12:09am Hey there shells. Good to see you looking out for your brother. But, have to ask, why isn't he here? You say you 'think' he is chronic. Either he is or he isn't. How long has he been suffering? Please tell us more about him and his symptoms. There is a lot of information under the buttons on the left side of your screen. Read, read, read & print, print, print. |

Title: Re: my brother suffers from CH Post by sandie99 on Nov 3rd, 2004, 1:15am Shells, I am so glad that you found this website. Żou'll find a lot of information about CH here. Coming here is a great start! I do suggest that you read medical journals, too. But I do agree that if your brother is not visiting this site already, he should. As a chronic myself, I think that your brother knows if he is one - or very soon will. Little advice: NEVER EVER say your brother that CH is "just a migraine", because the two are not similar at all! Best wishes & PFdays to your brother, sandie99 |

Title: Re: my brother suffers from CH Post by thebbz on Nov 3rd, 2004, 7:44pm Shells, Saw the post in the guest book, have him check out the info on the left. If he's in rough shape print it and have him read it with one eye, while jumping and doin the dance. ;;D Hope all went well today ...tell us more and the better to help. Keep all sharp objects elsewhere out of reach. Myself, I have to , and depression is part of it. Try to encourage your bro and if it is truly CH sorry for him, but the good thing is it hasn't killed me after 25 years. Welcome and hello by the way. ;;D BB |

Title: Re: my brother suffers from CH Post by angel-ache on Nov 4th, 2004, 6:01pm I agree Shells, many of us have been suffering for some time, and we all will be suffering for some time after. It will never go away, but it will lesson in strength the older we get (lite at the end of the tunnel). In the meantime, we all gather what strength we do have and help each other through the tough times. I have found new hope here and I found it in the nick of time. I thought I was alone with my pain, hence living in a small fishing town in Alaska, no one complains of headaches here, just the normal broken bones and fishing accidents. I made it through my worst episodes yet (27 yrs old). And probally not my last ones either, but thanks to the people here I made it. Thanks everyone...and good luck shells, just be there for him. Bring him a glass of water, cold wash cloth for the back of his neck, even a foot rub. Make him a nice hot dinner...that is what my family and friends do for me :) Angela |
