Title: Hello new member Post by Bodge on Sep 26th, 2004, 12:07pm Hi everyone, Im a cluster headace sufferer, very glad to see this site, just through a three day cluster, and pysically wore out! I currently take Maxalt, I get both migraine and cluster headaches, like to talk with other males, Iv read that men get more clusters than woman.. anyway! have a great day all |

Please fill us in about yourself. You mention a 3 day cluster. Do you mean a headache that lasted 3 days? Or a headache each day? Or? Cluster headache attacks last 15 minutes to 2 hours then end. You may get more, 3,4,6, each day but not one continuous attack for 3 days. About the men versus women getting clusters…………..tell your doctor that he is very uneducated and ignorant about cluster headaches. Read this board for a few days and you will see there are as many women here as men. And more women supporters here than men. Sorry you have to be here. |

He is a little crass but really a nice man... what do you want he has Cluster Headaches. I think he is referring to the comment you made about how long your Cluster was..... Clusters dont last 3 days. A regular Migraine does and I suffer from those. CH's are attacks lasting usually up to an hour or so, repeating several times a day. Located around one eye usually, it can cause such pain that your head can't be touched. With Migraine you can lie down... With Cluster you cant sit still........... You also said you used Maxalt... also a common med for Migraine but IS used by some CH sufferers. Go to the general message board and get some information... [smiley=laugh.gif] THANKS for the emails, very nice welcome...Geese I'm all misty now... ;;D Naay Johnny didn't scare me, unfortunately his response was my first impression of the site, Just one of those weekends when, your headache just keeps coming and going, can sit for long, cant sleep, just all around irritated, I got on the net and goggled cluster headaches, this site looked interesting, and...NOWWWWW..."you know the rest of the story" the story when Johnny hit on me!! LOL , its alright, I forgive him... we all make mistakes ....LOL Iv been treated since I was 12 for migraines, had my first at 8, years later in my 20's a neurologist said they were cluster head aches and most times def fit the descrip, always behind left eye, eye waters, nostral closed, come on quick, off and on for a three day stint for me. I have taken, Caffgot/imetrix, pill and needle/ some bata- blocker/ now Maxalt, which works for the migraine if I catch it, otherwise I'm nauseated, but doesn't always help when I feel its a cluster. I just use hot towel on the side where the pain is. man when its over, I'm wore out...that was Sunday... PS...Yes, Johnny, I'm back, thanks for watching, ;) also, if I leave you win right, cant have that!!! :) Thanks again everyone ..so.....OK, who's next? I'm in on next initiation... |

You'll also find a ton of information trying to explaing our resident bad boy, Jonny. You'll find it isn't hard to get on his good side.
