Title: hello Post by tommy155 on Aug 12th, 2004, 8:07pm I'm new here and hope I've found the right spot for my headaches my headaches always start when I lay down for the night or nap, The left side of my face start to feel funny (I can't describe the feeling) then the pain will spread to the left side of my neck and into my left eye and then it just plain hurts like hell the pain just sits there and after about 10 minutes to 45 minutes the pain it gone and the only way I can sleep is with my head cocked back on the pillow (not easy to sleep) I don't know if these are clusterhead aches but it sure sounds like it from all that I've read on the net and I can go almost 5 years before it hangs around for a month or so then it's gone again So basically if these are Clusterhead aches and they only happen when trying to sleep , Whats the best way to fell a sleep or do I have to wait it out untill there gone? |

Title: Re: hello Post by Superpain on Aug 12th, 2004, 8:22pm If you have cluster's there is no best way to sleep... You can try melatonin. But I'd suggest going to the neuro and getting medication to help alleviate the ha's. |

Title: Re: hello Post by IndianaJohn on Aug 12th, 2004, 8:38pm Hello Tommy, sorry that you're in pain. Does the pain start when you are asleep? Take the cluster quiz to the left. What you have may or may not be clusters. Best Wishes |

Title: Re: hello Post by TxBasslady on Aug 14th, 2004, 12:06pm Welcome to the board, Tommy I get hit only at night also. The melatonin has worked for me for a while. I started with 3 mg. just before bed. I also have to sleep with my head elevated. When in cycle, I usually have to give up the bed and sleep on the sofa. I agree that you need to be properly diagnosed. If you do have clusters, there are lots of meds and remedies that will help. Read the links to the left.....take the cluster quiz.... PF vibes, Jean |

Title: Re: hello Post by thebbz on Aug 17th, 2004, 12:12am Hello there! I hope you don't have these . Hope you have insurance. The first thing is getting a proper diagnosis. Do some research on all types of HA gather your info and get to the doctor, ask for a referral to a neurologist. Best Wishes. BB |
