Hello!

Another newbie here. Feel kinda lucky as I made 46 years without these damn things, better than some, so I read. Started a few weeks ago waking up at midnight with an icepick in my eye. Overdosed on Advil until I said time for the doctor. Doctor said it sounds like a cluster headache, read up on it, which brought me here. Have an MRI scheduled for Thursday to make sure there aren't any golf balls running around in there, but after reading this site there probably aren't.

Last couple nights eased up a bit, so maybe it's temporary. Regardless, I'm glad this site is here, nice to meet you all!

Hi Carey,

I'm brand spanking new to this site as well, I know how you feel though. Must have taken some guts to go and see the doc but I'm glad you've done something about it.. my my watch, I should be due for a good ol' attack any time now. If I can just stay awake long enough to get through it then I won't need to wake up in the middle of the night (hopefully).

Gosh, it's all pretty morbid stuff isn't it. I can't imagine how many brain cells I must have lost by aimlessly bashing my head against solid objects but I hell, at least we're not paraplegic.

Welcome Bill. Hope the MRI turns out well.

Hope you don't have clusters. If you do, I wouldn't quite call it a 'temporary' thing ... but at least you found the right site (your new home on the net)
