Title: Is it safe??
Post by spliff_richard on Mar 16th, 2004, 4:09am
Hello people

My name is Sir Spliff Richard, producer 32 yrs from Finland.
Started my career in CH about 10 years ago.
The thing that pisses me off most, is that I've accepted this to be a part of my life.
Take care.

Hi there! :)

Finally another Finn here! Not that I'm glad that somebody else has to "dance with the beast", because I'm not.  :(

If it's any conselation, I've had CH only since 2002, but I have already accepted it as part of my life, too...  :(

Best wishes & Hyvää kevään jatkoa,
sandie99

Hey Spliff

I've had CH for 3 years. The first year I was miserable and just wanted to throw myself of a building. Everything seemed hopeless. Than I got to the acceptance-stage. This is a part of me. I can't say I love it. But I just gotta deal with it.

Of course it's hard to have to accept such a thing. But don't you think it's better accepting the beast to fight it on your own terms instead of being down all the time thinking "why me"?

Just wandering

Ciao

Christian

Hey S!

Sorry to have to welcome you to the clan but you have found the right place and we are all here for a purpose whether it be support or research in findings answers.  Tell us a bit more about yourself, what medications you've tried, what worked, what didn't work, cronic, or episodic.  You are right though in accepting it.  I believe that this horrible ordeal that we go through makes us stronger individuals.

Wishing you PF days!

Belle

For me it is funny. We have a geriatric pop star who arrived on the Ark and has been singing ever since. He was known (by his fans only I hasten to add) as the British Elvis.
Now THAT'S funny!

His name is Sir Cliff Richard.

If you have to ask if it's safe, the odds are that it's not.

Re: is it safe.

C'mon, haven't you seen the movie "The Marathon Man"?

One of the crowning scenes in this movie is Dustin Hoffman getting tortured by Lawrence Olivier who drills on his teeth with a dental drill and no anesthesia, and is constantly asking him, "Is it safe?" . This scene makes most people cringe at the thought of that type of pain. Clusterheads can watch this scene and think, "Yeah, I'm sure that hurts. I'll trade that for one of my k10's any day" .

At least, that's what I think you're refering too, Sir Spliff. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Welcome to Clusterville Sir Spliff Richard. Sorry you had to find this place, but glad that you did.

Don't be pissed about accepting this to be a part of your life. In my opinion, you have to accept this to be a part of your life. What you don't have to accept is the inadequate medical care and knowledge available, and the terrible thought that you are alone.

Tell us more about yourself and your battles with the beast. Have you tried O2? Any preventatives?

Speaking of chop liver. I was born in Sweden and spent my first 20 years in Gothenburg. Finland is almost like Sweden since they are bi-lingual and also speak Swedish. That could make me pass for half Finish.

I think the answer is yes - It's is definately safe to say.
