Title: Re: its beating me down Post by Giovanni on Feb 18th, 2004, 5:12am Hi Kimblin, All of us here know exactly how you feel. What are you taking to abort these headaches? O2; imitrex? What about preventatives? Look on the old messages about melatonin that has helped many of us. I assume that your under a neurologist's care? Hang in there, these damned things will go away. Also look here: www.clusterbusters.com Keep us advised on your progress. We're always here for you. Best Regards, John :-/ |

Title: Re: its beating me down Post by TxBasslady on Feb 18th, 2004, 5:15pm Kim, Welcome to the board Depression and the feeling you have of not wanting to live through this is something we all have felt at some point. We all felt at some time that we were all alone. You came here, to this site, and took a huge step by posting about your pain and your feelings. Now that you've accomplished that.....relax and read all you can. Take the cluster quiz, read all those links to the left. Read the posts on the boards. You will see that you are not alone. Tell us about whatever meds you have taken. Have you seen a neurologist? Let us know these things....we can and will help in whatever way we can. Most important....stay here with us. Keep posting...let us know how you feel. Share your meds info, and ask questions if you need too. Usually someone here around the clock..WE NEVER CLOSE!!!!!! You will find more support here than you ever imagined. Sending you lots of PF vibes, Jean |

Title: Re: its beating me down Post by t_h_b on Feb 18th, 2004, 6:47pm Hi, Kim, All of us here understand exactly what you have to go through. Sorry that you have these damned things but welcome to the club! A lot of us have experienced depression at one time or another and have had suicidal thoughts. Talk to your doctor about your depression and possible treatments. There is definitely hope for you because there is a wealth of information here on treatment as well of plenty of people with a lot of experience to talk about these things. Many of us have found combinations of drugs that work to prevent the attacks as well as to stop them when they do happen. Please tell us more about what you've already tried and what you're doing now to fight these things and ask any questions you would like to. I'll keep you in my thoughts tonight and hope you have a pain-free night. You're not alone in this anymore. Thomas |

Title: Re: its beating me down Post by lwalsh on Feb 24th, 2004, 2:06pm I just wanted to let you know that I (among everyone else here) can completely relate to you and everything that you are going through. I too, am new to this message board but I have to say it such a release to be able to vent to people that truly know all that you are experiencing. I do hope that you can find some solace here as I know that emotional support is so very important. I have been through massive depression during a bout and please rest assured that it will pass just like the headaches do eventually pass. I know what it’s like in that moment of excruciating pain to just want to end everything if it will mean ending the pain. I remind myself during those hellish moments that the pain will end and that I am stronger than this demon. Because the truth of the matter is that the pain does eventually end and contrary to how you may feel at that moment you are stronger than that demon. We are all here to help each other so, stay connected and come here in your moments of desperation as I’m certain someone here can help you overcome. Remember…you are never alone in this so long as you have all of us to support you. Best wishes for peace of mind and pain free days! Laurie |
