Title: Re: hi ia m new hear Post by BlueMeanie on Feb 2nd, 2004, 6:56pm Welcome Disco. Morphine ? There are many meds out there to treat Clusters. Read all the info you can starting to the left of this screen. Lots of prevents & aborts to help you with your Clusters. Sound like you need a Doc that knows something about Cluster Headaches too. |

Title: Re: hi ia m new hear Post by Charlie on Feb 3rd, 2004, 12:40am Welcome to the fold. If you stick around you'll find some good ideas and ways to deal with this horror. Pain killers aren't the best way to deal with it. Look around here for some more effective ideas. Here is a link to one that worked for me: http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/ Charlie |

Title: Re: hi ia m new hear Post by Callico_Kid on Feb 3rd, 2004, 12:47am Welcome, It sounds as though you have to do a lot of learning and be able to work with your doc to develope a plan of treatment for yourself. Unfortunately, you are not alone in this. There is a lot of good information available in the buttons to the left. In particular I would check out the "medical info" button and the ""oxygen info" button. Print out any material that you think would be helpful to your Dr. and take it with you. Understand that CH is a rare malady and most Drs have never seen it, and the only exposure they have had to it is a paragraph in a medical book back when they were in school. Also, I would check out OUCH UK. They will have more information pertaining to the health care system in the UK. Take advantage everything available here and don't hesitate to ask questions. There is usually someone around. jc |
