2 contractors and a politician are in a bar enjoying a cold one. Suddenly a truck crashes into the bar killing all of them instantly.

The contractors arrive in heaven first and St. Peter say's "this is good timing, the Pearly Gates need repairs, but unfortuantely I need three estimates". Just then the politician arrived after being somewhat delayed by his less than perfect life. "I'll provide your third estimate", he announces. "The estimates must come from qualified contractors", replies St Peter. "No problem" is the politicians reply.

St. Peter asks the first contractor (Bubba) his estimate for fixing the gates. Bubba walks over, quickly inspects the gates, and provides St. Peter with an estimate of $750.

St. Peter thanks Bubba and asks the next contractor (ED) for his estimate. He walks over, inspects the gates, measures them, opens and closes them several times to check their alignment and hinges and provides Saint Peter with an estimate of $1,500, and informs St. Peter he isn't making a dime off the job and warns that Bubba missed many defects during his quick inspection.

St. Peter thanks Ed and askes the politician for his estimate.

Without inspecting the Pearly Gates, the politician immediately provides and estimate of $3,250. St. Peter asks him how he could came up with the estimate without even inspecting the gates and strongly reminds him it must come from a qualified contractor.

The Politician replies, "It's all covered St. Peter, $1,500 for you, $1,000 for me and $750 for Bubba who I believe is the most qualified contractor for this job"
