Post by maffumatt on Dec 6th, 2005, 3:04pm
I have the flu and  every time I  cough it hurts like hell for a sec in the same spot where it hurts dureing a CH attack, and just as bad. Anyone else experiance this?

an hour and a half and nobody with a wiseass answer? Okay, here goes.

Don't cough  ;;D

Seriously, when I'm in cycle and not having an attack, if I shake my head after I shower to shake the water off, it hurts like hell for a sec. Coughing may do the same, but I haven't noticed.

Yes. I used to experience the same thing several Years ago. I am now 51 ( started getting Ch's when I was 23) Now I find that if I force myself to cough vigorously the pain lessens. They have written that if someone feels that they are having a heart attack, they should start to force a strong cough which will open the veins to a larger degree. When you have the flu there are sensitive zones on the external skin of the skull, which could be what is hurting. Get Better !!!! Drink alot of water.

I'm so sorry to hijack this thread, but
