Title: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 2nd, 2005, 2:52pm Nothing major, but I've been getting that old familiar pressure behind my right eye, today... Not a hit or a shadow.. Just enough pressure to be mildly uncomfortable. I'm not due to go into cycle 'til the end of February, though. WTF? >:( [smiley=furious.gif] :-/ |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by nani on Nov 2nd, 2005, 3:07pm Aw...sorry, Frank. It isn't surprising when you think about it. You had 2 weeks of tons of stress and now you're home and relaxing again. You know what BobG says... stay stressed, never relax... Hoping it's a fluke, but get your kudzu ready, just in case. PF wishes and hugs, nani |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 2nd, 2005, 3:13pm Thanks... The pressure keeps ramping up. Off to pace for a bit. And yes, I'm getting the kudzu out, tonight. |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jasmyn on Nov 2nd, 2005, 3:30pm Sherbet Frank hope the Beast leaves you alone! :( Don't the diving trigger it? I got hit badly out of season after my last dive. But that was just me , I gather that you dive frequently and will know if it triggers yours. ((((((((((((Vibes to you pal)))))))))))))) |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 2nd, 2005, 4:15pm Diving has never bothered me, and neither did the barometric pressure during wh*re-icane Wilma. I'm one of the lucky ones that, when I'm out of cycle, I'm truly OUT OF CYCLE. Not hits, no pain, no triggers. That's why this afternoon's fluke was so strange. The pressure kept ramping up so gradually, I didn't even realize I was getting hit until I found myself grinding the heel of my palm into my eye and needing to pace. Then it dawned on me: "Duh! I'm getting hit. What the hell??" Hopefully, just a fluke. We'll see... |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Cathi04 on Nov 2nd, 2005, 4:19pm A FLUKE! A FLUKE, I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Frank, I sure hope that's it...I'd hate to think the beast is gonna rearrange your schedule!!!!! Kudzu and vibes, Jeepieguy! PF Cathi |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by seasonalboomer on Nov 2nd, 2005, 4:25pm Let's hope it's just a fluke. I'm due right now if I go by my regular schedule, but using last year's revised schedule I might go till February. Only thing I've been experiencing is the aromatic shrubs are in FULL bloom right now in NC. Pungent, almost sharp floral scents all around the area. The same kind that will trigger me right away when I'm in cycle, aren't triggering, but I can still feel a wierd effect when I have to walk or run through an area that's thick with it. Almost feel kind of "high" (not like a nice buzz, but just that slight buzz behind the eyeball kind of high) after walking through such an area. Just makes me nervous more than anything. I refer to them as "the BAD bushes". Also have never had a problem with diving and CH. Thank goodness. That would be a bit distracting if you were under and got hit, realizing that you a certain amount of time you will definitely have to wait before you can escape and hide. scott |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 2nd, 2005, 4:33pm Jeez... I hope your revised schedule holds, Scott. Imagine getting hit at 80', and having to make a three-minute deco stop before getting the chance to surface!! (Hey, maybe Nitrox would be just the thing!) ;) 8) |
||
Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by seasonalboomer on Nov 2nd, 2005, 4:44pm Yeah, Ill take the revised schedule. But, every since I came here and read about folks who suddenly go into like a 3 or 5 or even 8 year remission, out of nowhere, I keep holding out for something like that. A boy's gotta dream right? Crossing my fingers for you dude. I've visuallized my next cycle already though. I lay a towel down on the bathroom vanity, and like i'm cleaning my weapons, lay out my new imitrex injectors, my fresh non-rebreather mask, a couple cans of red bull, and then paint my face for the battle. scott |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by BarbaraD on Nov 2nd, 2005, 9:19pm Maybe it's a faux CH - just to let you know the beast is still around. He likes to let you know that every once in a while. Hope you hold out till Feb. Just don't relax -- that always triggers me...... Hugs BD |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Melissa on Nov 3rd, 2005, 6:57am Frank, didn't you have a couple hits that woke you up during the night before you went on vacation? I could have swore it was a couple weeks before you left. :-/ Perhaps what you've been getting are just little "reminders", as that tends to happen to some people (including myself) when they're out of cycle. hugs, mel |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Kate in Oz on Nov 3rd, 2005, 7:40am Hey Frank, Hope it's nothing serious and just a very unfriendly reminder. PFDAN, Kate |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 3rd, 2005, 8:11am Thanks... I think you're right: Just a reminder... Just to be sure though, I checked the cabinet, and I have more kudzu. If I get anymore attacks, I'm going to start taking it. The thing I'm concerned about, and the reason I haven't begun taking it already, is because I'm worried about building up a tolerance to it, and then maybe it won't work anymore. With so many of the chronic CHers, the kudzu seemed to work so well for them for the first three or four months, and then it stopped working... I want to make sure that I'm truly in cycle before starting it. For now, I'm just keeping an eye on things. (an unswollen eye, that doesn't have a hanging eyelid!) ;;D Thanks again. No worries. :) -Frank |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 10th, 2005, 11:29am Thanks, Pegg and Sandra. One more hit, and I'll be starting the kudzu. I'm reluctant to start on it, because I don't want to build up a tolerance to it, and then not have it work when I really DO go into cycle, in February. *sigh* Fortunately, none of the hits have been too bad... Nothing over a Kip-5, I guess. Enough to get me up and pacing, and none of them have lasted over a half hour. Keeping my fingers crossed... Thanks again. -Frank |

Title: Re: Ow, dammit!! Post by Jeepgun on Nov 11th, 2005, 12:57pm Okay, dammit... I guess it's official: I'm in cycle. Three hits since going to bed last night... I'm exhausted... Starting the kudzu. Be well, folks. I'm taking a hiatus until I get the beast under control. I'm not the best company at the moment. >:( :( -Frank |
