what do you mean "go to town"?

Trex knocks me out. Dancing with the beast is also tiring. Once the HA passes, with or without trex (i.e: with O2), I'm dead in the water, need to rest.

I never feel euphoria. Maybe the trex is messing with your heart. It is known to cause heart problems in some. Talk to your neuro.

I've been taking Trex shots for years and have NEVER passed out taking Trex. I think you need to get checked out as something could be wrong.  [smiley=huh.gif]

Are you talking about that "pain drain" thing where you can just feel the pain leaving your body?
there's nothing quite like that it is there? I'm usually wasted after fighting the fight and I think the euphoria comes from knowing that you won...again.

Definitely have a doc check out what you out.

If you find yourself going from depression to euphoria it could be a common psychological disorder that is easily treated with medication. I don't know if that is also happening to you.

Best to start with the neuro.

I'm not sure what "go to town" means either.  I can tell you that once the Trex hits, I feel really good and grateful the pain is gone and usually fall asleep (my hits are at night).  Trex greatly constricts your blood vessels - to your CHA site, your brain and your heart - probably the reason for exhaustion and need for sleep.

I tend to stay away from town and everywhere else public when I'm in cycle.

Euphoria.... I've felt that when I was taking prednisolon. But that was listed as one of the side effects. Too bad there were lots of not that nice ones and it did nothing to my ch... ::)

My only euphoria is waking up in the morning and realizing the sometime during the night I managed to close my eyes and not get another attack.  Goes away quickly when I remember I'll be doin' it all over agin the next evenin'.

Never passed out - might be nice though  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Ya' should get yourself checked out.

I would definitely make an appointment with your G.P. and explain the symptoms.

If you don't use the imitrex or "go to town" [smiley=huh.gif]...do you still get euphoria & pass out? That would answer whether it's the trex or H.A.

I would be more worried about the passing out. Outside of sleeping, and dying...it's never normal to lose conciousness. Get thee to a doctor. I have a normal circulatory system. Checked for heart disease and cardiovascular disease...yet everytime I take trex, I feel like an elephant is on my chest and it's time to meet my maker. Needless to say, I don't use triptans any more.

Did I mention...call your doctor, like yesterday.

Good luck,

Jimmy

and pass out,

Do you mean fall asleep or become unconscious?

I've done some research on your problem of passing out after reading your post, Kevin.  Approximately 3% of the general population will experience syncope, which is passing out for a brief period due to a sudden drop in blood pressure; people using Imitrex experience this at the 3% level as well.  Normally, these episodes will occur only a few times during a lifetime; if, as you wrote, this happens virtually every time you take Imitrex (and does it happen when you are out and haven't taken Imitrex?), then I think that there is a good chance that something else is wrong with you medically besides CH  I agree with everyone else that you need to see your doctor and tell him about this.  On the Glaxo-Smith website, there is no information about patients experiencing "eurphoria" as a result of Imitrex use.  Your definition of eurphoria is not clear nor what you mean by "going out on the town".  If you are consuming large amounts of alcohol or some other drug, that could explain both the passing out (you weren't clear if "passing out" meant total, sudden unconsciousness of the type where you would fall on the floor or just drift off to sleep for awhile-something, again, that you need to speak with your doc about).  If I were you, I'd see my doc as soon as possible and stop "going out on the town" and cease all consumption of alcohol and other "non-prescription" drugs, if you use any until you've been medically checked out. What is happening to you is not normal. I have experienced 2 episode of syncope in my life, both pre-CH and without having had alcohol or other drugs prior to the incidents; in both cases I felt like the blood was leaving my head, felt cold and woke up with injuries from hitting various objects as I passed out; in each incident I was unconscious about 5 minutes.  I grew up with a good Jewish mother and remember the first time that this occurred.  I thought that I was dying and what I believed to be my last thoughts on this earth was "Is my underwear clean?"  Good luck and always wear clean underwear when you go out!
