Don't touch the button on top until you're ready to inject. Practice makes perfect !

Common prblem.....that sucks!!!

Try the imitrex tip (move your cursor to the left of message board and click on the hyperlink) or ask for the vials and syringes instead....

Much easier+ chances are you can abort like many of us do with less meds...which = more money and more meds for floggings.

Good luck

The injecter is not cocked. Place the injecter back in it's home and press down grasping the sides until it clicks.
then simply remove the injecter and screw onto the syringe. DO NOT TOUCH THE BUTTON until you have pressed the injecter firmly against your skin.

that happened to me the first time i used the injector, i just hit the button and wait 5 seconds then pull it out.  not a drop will be wasted and we all know how expensive imitrex can be.

Been there done that. Sorry to hear for your loss.

You have to make sure the button is completely pushed in and "locked" into position before you pull it back out.

When you pull it out, DO NOT touch the button until after you've placed tube against skin firmly. Hold it steady and tight against your skin while pushing the button.

It can be difficult when you wait until the pain has gotten untolerable, so make sure you prepare early enough.

Also check the Imitrex tip the the left of this page. 1/2 shot works just as well as a full shot for most people.

Ask the doctor for a script for vials instead, that way you can try the imitrex tip of reducing the dosage down to the 2mg dosage more easily and will use regular insulin or TB syringes to draw it up with.  Just a suggestion, hope it helps!
