Title: Saw something on the MRA Post by Jasen on May 26th, 2005, 5:02pm Saw the Neuro today, and she spotted something on the film. She thinks I may have Sinalyga (sp) Some TMJ nerves in the sinus appear to be touching the sinus passage. This can be fixed with a simple operation. I see the nose Dr. in a couple weeks to get his take. She put me on Oxycodone for breakthrus, Verapamil, Frova. She also gave me Indomethacin to see if it Hemicrania Continua-HC Said if it doesn't work the first time I don't have this and to stop taking it. Well at least there is a bit of a silver linning to this dark cloud. Better days :) |

I'm very glad you had the imaging done. This is the very reason we stress an MRI/MRA and getting a firm diagnosis before starting down the CH treatment road. If it's CH, it won't kill you (though it may make you wish you were dead), but if it's not - the underlying problem and/or the meds clusterheads take can kill you. Is the term she used Synalgia? Synalgia is a referred pain - in other words, an injury or problem in one are causing a pain in another area. In this case, maybe the reason for your "different cluster symptoms" this time around. Did she say what may have caused this condition in the first place? I hope the doc can fix you up good as new and you never have another headache. Keep us posted! |

Title: Re: Saw something on the MRA Post by Jasen on May 27th, 2005, 12:11pm Gator, Some of the TMJ never endings in the sinus are touching the sinus passage. She said they can bound together. It was easely seen in a couple of the photos. She also said theres a chance I could be Hemicrania Continua-HC and gave me Indomethiacin (sp) Which worked really well on the attack I hade 20 mins. ago. I see the nose Dr. on the 9th. for his take on the Synalgia. I hope it's this, would be nice ot just have it fixed once and for all. Better days :) |
