Title: does anyone else have these..?pleas reply
Post by bnfreeman on May 23rd, 2005, 6:17pm
This is my second year with CHs. I think this cycle is coming to an end until October. But for about a month I had a cluster-like headache only on the right side. It hurts behind my eye, temple, top teeth, etc. But it is not sharp and as painful as the beast. The only thing that has helped it is the DHE IV treatment with steriods. Now it is back. I don't remember having this last summer when my cycle died down. Can anyone relate? And what can I do. Right now I take 500mg naproxen, Lamictal and have a few for days left on the DHE treatment with the spray. O2 doesn't help either.

I had CH for about 6 years. Then nothing for the past seven. Now there back but not the same as before. They seems to have changed. As my Neuro. put it, it's almost as if there intellagent, they will find a new path of nerves to follow, which changes the CH symptoms

The DHE will usually break a cycle (I'm chronic, so it's never for a long period of time). I started on them tonight -- this is the first time in about two years I've had to resort to that, but hopefully it will break this one and I'll have some relief for a little while anyhow.

How often are you taking the DHE? I do it on an eight hour cycle for at least three to four days (until it breaks).

Shadows (and your's sounds like shadows) you can live with - it's the Kip 8-10s that you gotta do something about.

Hope the DHE works for you.

Hugs BD

Had all that, and just like everyone said shadows...I know it seems like shadows are nothing cause they can also be a real challange, but they seem like a like a baby lamb when the real hits come. Aleve helps me some with shadows. Just hang in there and DON'T get any teeth pulled without seeing the dentist and getting an xray!! :)

Thanks for all the info. I had the DHE for every eight hours also, but came home about 8 hours before I was supposed to so my doctor gave me the migranal spray to take twice a day for 3 days and 1 spray for 3 days after that. It has not helped for this headache. The DHE helped at first, but like someone said before, I think the headache found a new way around it.

See the orange nerve that turns yellow as it goes into the jaw (Teeth)?.......thats your CH pain delivery nerve. some folks get the pain the teeth, some dont..try some of the things that the folks have mentioned...if that dont work talk to your doc....good luck.

I have no plans to get any teeth pulled. Thanks again for the info. After reading through stuff on the site I believe they are shadows. BF
